Now officially Knighted, Vi exchanges her ceremonial armor for a wedding gown, and the guests head into London to gather at the Chelsea Physic Garden.  The evening is warm and clear, and the flowers in full bloom, chairs set up on the main lawn with name tags on them for people to find their seat.  Gentle Elvish music plays everyone in, and at the front of stands an arbor covered in wisteria.  It's a remarkably peaceful setting, enough to dispel further some of the grimness of the past few days and create an atmosphere of smiles and warmth.    It seems to reinforce what Luthir has been telling Vi all along: that maybe now more than ever, this is the sort of thing they need, in order to remember what they're all fighting for.

I suppose some things never change. [ her smile widens a bit, though, and she eases her way up to sitting, without really pulling away ] Is that a 'no' to my offer, then?

Which one? To run off together?

[socialgraces]

[ ♬ mandatory song cue - it had to happen someday ]

I suppose it seems foolish to leave when we have everything we could need right here, readily at our disposal, doesn't it. Ridiculous and whimsical. [ she frowns, sounding a little disappointed at being able to rationalize herself out of the idea so easily. she never expected him to run with the idea, anyway. ] Best to stick with what I know.

You don't sound particularly convinced of that.

Well, it's certainly not the most exciting prospect for one's future, but that doesn't mean it's not the most honest.

[valdrin]

I think most of the excitement we find in our lives is of the unfortunate variety. And you're wishing for more of it?

[socialgraces]

[ she chuckles a bit at that, slowly realizing the awkwardness of sitting in a car naked while having this conversation, and she starts digging around for some of her clothes ] Not more unfortunate excitement, no. I think I've had my fill as of late.

[valdrin]

I wasn't going to be the one to say it. [ he dangles some of her undergarments off a finger in front of her. ]

[socialgraces]

[ she snatches them from him, smirking, before doing her best to maneuver into this dress in the backseat of a car (escape artist 34) - which is apparently goes pretty well for her ] At least we always have brief trysts such as these to keep the excitement alive, then.

[valdrin]

I'm definitely in support of keeping these on the table.

[socialgraces]

I don't think you have anything to worry about - you know I can't keep my hands off of you. [ and she zips up her dress, reaching for her shoes ]

[valdrin]

[ he finally idly reaches for his shirt ] And yet I do so love the reminders.

[socialgraces]

I can't believe we've never done this before. [ she leans forward, kissing him deeply ] I'm already looking forward to doing it again.

[valdrin]

[ he returns the kiss with fervor, before drawing away to murmur: ] Well, since you suggested it, I'm not entirely dressed yet...

[socialgraces]

[ her lips curve upward suggestively and she slides her mouth to ear ] If you want me, then take me. [ she presses her lips against his ear, her teeth gently scraping his earlobe, and she murmurs: ] But promise me you won't be gentle.

[valdrin]

Now there's one promise I'll be glad to keep. [ rrow. and then they... did it all over again ahahaha. wow you two ]

[socialgraces]

[ ok, after this time she's getting dressed for real, but she does take a moment to slide her panties into his inside jacket pocket with a wink after he slips it on ] Hopefully they haven't had time to miss us. I may have gotten carried away. [ but she doesn't look the least bit ashamed or regretful ] I hope I've managed to improve your opinion of weddings.

I think I might be ready to take my leave of the cynics, even.

[socialgraces]

Glad to know I have such a powerful effect on you. [ and as she slips on her last shoe, so reaches for the door handle ]
