Talk about a soiree.  The team has walked into what is clearly legitimately a Gatsby party, but with an Indian flair.  Even upon approach, it's easy to see that this place is without parallel:  people are driving cars right up on the lawn of the fabulous mansion, which looks half-modern and half like a palace out of a Bollywood film.  Men and women in bright colors, fabrics, beads and silks move inside en masse, and as the doors are opened before them, they can see the grandness of the interior, with its diamond garland, draped fabrics, giant jeweled elephant statues, indoor trees that arch to the ceilings, twirling dancers, and a tall dramatic staircase leading up to a balcony above where the host himself reclines surrounded by admirers and friends, smoking a cigar.  

Liquor flows freely, and food is carried around on golden trays through the crowds.  It's an overwhelming buffet for the senses, a dizzying spectacle of color, laughter, dancing, and entertainment.

[he rolls his eyes, and, sarcastically] No, but I do have a very strong urge to give all my money to some Nigerian prince.

Good, that's perfectly normal. Take two girls, one cup and call me in the morning.

[ she wheels her chair in a reversal so that she can look over the asgardian ] ... I take it Wynn wasn't being uncharacteristically poetic when he said 'thunder god' after all, huh.

[he snorts at the two girls one cup comment before moving right along to] Not even a little.

Something like that, Sparky. So you guys are, what, off chasing another actual god guns blazing? Is that it?

He's got our friend and a super powerful cup thingy. So yeah. We kinda need to find him ASAP.

And he's probably kinda a little bit above your usual pay grade too. I'm just saying, if you're going after a deity, maybe you don't want to go empty handed. I've got some potions that can probably help.

Eto biznes. [ she shrugs at him, unfazed. ] I meant healing potions, ones that make you stronger or faster. Or invisible. That kind of shit.

[he looks over at the rest of the team like well y'all. do your shopping now. nothing for him, that's ok.]

Oooh. Invisibility would be cool. Or stronger! I like that one. [She's already got everyone else beat on fast.] And definitely healing would be good. Unless someone here's a cleric and hasn't mentioned it. [She looks over at new Alex because they don't know much about her, then over at the Doctor because come on, DOCTOR, he has to have some healing spells, right?] How bout something that, like, lets us see through illusions? Is that a thing? [Cause she could use fake Lokis not being a thing.]

A potion of true seeing? Yeah, no, though maybe some day. Here's the menu. [ she types for a few furious seconds, then turns the screen around to display a list. ] The Academy will freak if too much goes missing, but I can probably snag you nine or ten total. Order up.

[he peers over at the list, when something catches his eye and makes him comment —] You have something that removes curses?

[panaceum]

[ she shoots him an amused look ] As long as we're talking real curses and not the curse of too-much-hotness or something, then yeah.

[ambitionist]

[he shoots her an amused look back ok.] Yeah, no. I've got a friend with a problem. Unrelated to this current impending clusterfuck.

[David glances to Alex and he doesn't know if they're thinking about exactly the same thing BUT HE HAS AN INKLING (wisdom 17). He doesn't know if it'll work on the curse in question, but it's definitely worth a shot.]

We'll take one of those. Plus some for healing and some for stealth. Do you have anything that can resist mind control?

Psionics? Those are sort of a different animal. I don't really have anything that can counteract that kind of thing.

What about something that negates the effects of a spell being cast? [just in case his bullshit isn't psionics tbh.]

Dispelling magic doesn't really translate well to potion form. It's not like it's something you just sprinkle on someone's head - they have to drink it.

What if you put it in a spray bottle and forced their mouth open? [he mimes using a spray bottle. ~revolutionary mind alexander karamazov.~]

[Andie shoots Alex a look like wtf are you even talking about before turning back to Epiphany.] I'll totally take the strength one. If we're still under nine.

[ The Doctor's stayed back, oddly quiet through all of this, just taking in what everyone else is saying. But he looks at the screen, and nods once. ]

None detection wouldn't go amiss. Might at least give a headstart.

[ she smirks ] Points for thinking outside the box, I guess. [ she goes to grab some bottles off a shelf, tossing them to the people who requested them: ] Bull's strength for you, Red. Nondetection for Bowtie.
