Anyone showing up to equipment orientation would find a very tall, curly haired man leaned against a wall. He's waiting inside the lab, behind its "Biohazard" labelled doors. Once people begin to show up, he offers a quick greeting and a brief smile, gesturing for them to continue on while he waits for the rest. People are free to look around at the grand library while he waits for the proper head count. Once he thinks everyone has arrived, he takes them up the steps. A great deal of models are suspended from the ceiling that look like space age designs for jet planes, cars, boats, and any number of other things. There are other objects that are much more inexplicable: a giant silver ball, suspended by several rods, for example.

There's another set of doors at the end of the balcony, and he swipes his access card through a reader beside them. They depress with a space age hiss. revealing a clean white laboratory, with rows and rows of tables and lab equipment set up. Numerous knights buzz around in white lab coats, working under microscopes and on computers, conferring over a number of projects.

"Just a bit further." He calls over his shoulder as he waves to a few of the lab techs that he knows. There's a door on the left side of the room with a panel that he presses his hand to, causing the light to change from red to green, unlocking the door for the group.

Beyond is a very long room, with rows of labelled cases and cabinets with transparent glass revealing what's inside. He puts both hands on the edge of the table and takes a deep breath to begin.

Yeah, you can check things out for non mission use. It's a good way to get practice to figure out how you think you might use them on missions. If you want help with any of it, you can usually find of us hanging around and we can run you through the basics.

But... seriously, guys. Can we keep the questions on topic of the actual equipment? [That's directed to Damon and Maxwell. But his attempt at looking stern just ends up exasperated because he is 150% done (intimidate 13)]

Yeah. Is there some kind of appendix or database of what's available? I don't really want to dig through every gadget some half-wit in the Hoard thought would be handy one day on some obscure mission.

[And now that I've actually read the top post because I realized it wasn't just the one that Arden throws up each time (i r smrat), Adam has actually been there the whole time. He's just been ... staring at people and judging the fuck out of them whenever they say or do something dumb. Which is like seventy five percent of everything people have said or done thus far.]

Been a part of a few of them, but if you're looking for something that's mostly mine? [He looks into the case before reaching in for a set of teeny tiny cameras and mics.]

I work a lot on the surveillance side of things.

Yeah. Remember when you said gaming was a legit form of gun training?

That's not what I said. [fuck you adam] I said it helps. Doesn't mean you shouldn't go down to the shooting range as well. But there's games out there that are realistic, so you can get the feel for depth perception, aiming, that sort of thing.
