The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ for the best, frankly, because lila doesn't bother to show up to them anymore unless she's met the person being squired already. and even then... probably not. they're just so boring. she could be watching paint dry or taking a bath. the parties on the other hand...

she won't be saying no to a socially acceptable way to drink. ]

[ she brushes it off with a friendly smile, eyes glancing over allison mildly. she looks like a run of the mill teenager. ] So what sect are you headed to?

[She smiles at the French, almost asking her if she is fluent or just casually drops it in there.]

Probably Dragon's Hide. [It seemed the best choice for her, given her skill set.] I'm an archer.

Cool. [ she looks mildly impressed. luthir was an archer before he bit it and he was pretty cool. for an elf that said like three words total. he certified her, so clearly he was a decent judge of how well people can handle a weapon. that's all she needs to appreciate his worth. too bad he died, oh well. ]

Is that big in your world? [ 'cause it sure isn't in hers. ]

Archery? [Allison shakes her head.]

I don't think so. I mean, it's something I was taught at a young age, but I think that had to do more with my dad and his interests than anything else.

Makes sense, my dad taught me real estate and how to make a grown man cry. I think the two are comparable.

No, Dragon's Tongue. [ bluff 44 /refuses to admit she hasn't been knighted yet. ] Though if you want a cute apartment in the city I can hook you up.

I'll keep that in mind, but I think until I get used to being here... I'll stick to the castle.
