The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Allison had seen him during the ceremony, but she hadn't been sure how to approach him. They'd both sort of gone their own way - him off to London and her to France. Getting out to deal with all the insanity that had happened.

He seems ... fine. Actually, he seems good.]

I was going to come over before, but then I hesitated and now I think this is just going to be awkward no matter what.

[ He's always good, thanks very much. Seeing everyone else had been annoying at best, complicated at worst. Lydia was on the latter end of the spectrum — a tangle of regret and relief that he's currently busy avoiding at all costs.

Allison's less complex. Of all of them, it's easiest to settle on being genuinely glad to see her. He avoids her anyway, as he does everything else, but when she finally approaches him it's kind of a welcome change to have some normal company.

What, this? Not awkward at all. [ You've made it super awkward, bless you Allison. It's said with a grin, vaguely good-natured. His expression turns bemused a beat later. ] Did I miss a recruitment drive in Beacon Hills, or... ?

[She winces slightly at him calling her out for actually making it a bit awkward. Her hand tucks her hair behind her ear, smiling at him.]

It does seem to be an interesting selection of people from town. Stiles and Lydia have been here for a few months, though. I keep waiting for Coach Finstock to show up and start yelling at everyone.
