The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[She laughs a bit before nodding.]

If I remember correctly, that's kind of their job for the first few months. After that they learn how to crawl, and pick up a new hobby of giving mommy a heart attack by disappearing when she turns her back for two seconds.

It's fine, I think when I arrived more people were just wondering if I was going to give birth during the after-party or not. It's been a bit of a roller-coaster, that's for sure.

[She smirks a bit at that.]

Well, she is adorable. Roller coaster or not, you did very well.

[She takes a breath and smiles.]

Thanks, she's a handful. That's for sure. I just keep blaming her father for all the bad things, though. It helps.

[She laughs a bit, before nodding.]

Blaming the father is obviously the way to go.

[She doesn't even know the father is Klaus. She's never even met Klaus. Now that Hayley's her squire, this will probably change.]

I take it you are not on active mission duty right now, though. Mostly focused on baby time?

[Hayley laughs.]

No, definitely on active baby duty. I don't think I'll be doing missions for a while.

[She grins.]

Fair enough. I probably wouldn't want to leave her alone either. But, at the same time, I believe the rules say I can't really promote you until you've gone on some missions, so this will probably be a pretty long squiring. Hopefully that's okay with you?

[Felicity isn't particularly picky. It'll give her some time to gauge if she's doing this mentoring thing right - but she wants to make sure that Hayley's aware of that. She's not promoting her because she doesn't think she's awesome, and all that jazz.]

That's fine. I'll still do training, I want to make sure that I can keep my baby safe.

[Not that she's best at hand-to-hand stuff, but if nothing else, she can teach her how to shoot, and she can probably find someone who's good with hand to hand, or she can pass on what she's picking up from her teachers.]

We'll set up something regularly and go from there.

That sounds great, Felicity. I'm sure I'll need some time with adults anyway.

[She nods a bit in agreement.]

Especially some without them cooing all over someone else.

Trust me, I don't think I'd want them cooing over me. Cooing over the baby is a much better alternative.

True enough. You'll just get in your adult time with training, and ... recharge. I guess?

[She's not versed in being a mom, so she's just hazarding a guess.]

Yeah, I can leave Olivia with her father or with his sister.

Perfect. Are you a morning or an evening person?

[Just so they can figure out when they're going to do this training.]

I'm a werewolf, so I'm probably better at night.

Night training it is.

[That she can work with. She goes out sometimes, but most of her evenings recently have been just hanging out with Vi, so she can easily shower and head there after training with Hayley.]

I'll also have to read up on werewolves a bit - that way you can get the most out of it.

[Training for Hayley won't be the same way Felicity trained, but if she can learn more about werewolf skills, she can try and cater to that. She's nothing if not flexible.]

That's fine and if you have questions, I can try to answer them.

[She nods a bit, tapping her finger against the side of her drink for a moment.]

You know, I know of at least one other werewolf here. I'm not sure if she's a knight or not yet, but if she does join up, maybe her mentor and I could train you two together? That way you're fighting with the same skill set, so to speak.

Sure, that could work.

[She nods a bit.]

I'll talk to her mentor, when she gets one. See what we can work out.

Yeah, just keep me in the loop. I should probably let you go. She's starting to kick her feet a lot and that means she'll get fussy in a bit.
