The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Uh, ew. First of all - never, and second of all - what are you doing here? Is this some evil plan thing, because I am not in the mood for thwarting evil at a party that's supposed to be all about me. I mean, gee, stealing the thunder much?

[He blinks at her, trying to figure out what the fuck she's smoking, but wis 13 means he's got nothing.]

[He looks the slightest bit hopeful. He doesn't want to have forgotten he's a bad guy. He wants to not have been one at all.]

He was a grade A jerk with questionable fashion sense, but not a vampire. And by he, I mean you.

[His face shifts, fangs sliding out.]

I am a vampire. So it sounds like perhaps you've got the wrong bloke.

[ she steps back a step and then looks around wildly, reaching for... a large biscotti. it's the best she's got ok. ] Or some fanged freak got their hands on you since the last time you came slumming around? Just... stay back, I'm armed. [ it's a very pointy biscotti ok ]

[Spike rolls his eyes. Her biscotti doesn't scare him, but this entire situation is KIND OF ANNOYING.]

I'm not going to hurt you. I'm a bloody knight. We don't generally eat people.

Uh, that'd be Wynn? You know, the same bloke who invited you?

Ask anyone. [A beat, then he looks around. Gee he... really isn't at the castle often, and sure doesn't know everyone. But he's pretty memorable. He likes to think they'd recognize him.]

Fine. [ and she lowers her biscotti and grabs the first guy in an adjacent area... which is will graham ] Hi! [ she gives him a little wave and a big smile ] Cordelia Chase. Would you mind answering a question for me? On a scale of one to evil, where would you rank this guy?

[WILL JUST CAME FOR THE FOOD. why is a teenage girl interrupting his food???? why is he the patron saint of teenagers??? whatever, he'll just go with it.] Um ... [he glances over at spike, and immediately sizes him up with his magical girl empath sense motive. which ends up being 26 vs spike's 11.] He seems all right. [THAT'S NOT A NUMBER, WILL. whatever.]

[Really? All right's all he gets?]

I'd prefer "extremely bloody heroic," but I guess I'll take it.
