[ The success of much of the Andres operation hinges on cutting off communication between Sarandis and his men on the Isle. The first step to doing so is a quiet takeover of the city's power station, located a couple miles away from any other buildings, surrounded by woods on three sides. The power station group is one of those who are being transported via a scroll of greater teleport cast by Sir Hasmed, and he lands them precisely on target - in a clearing not far away from the station, in the early hours of night on Andres Isle.

They find themselves transported from the black and white tiled floors of the castle... outside, surrounded by trees. Zatanna immediately checks her Drakenet phone, running the program sent out by Zero for mission leaders to check their latitude and longitude on, to double check that the spell was successful. After a moment, it beeps once softly, and she offers a little sigh of relief, looking at the others. ]

So let's get moving. We'll have to be careful and make sure we're not seen. I can take point?

[With the bow, Allison probably works better for the rear and Kate can be the muscle in the front, just in case.]

[ most of the hike is done in silence by necessity, the woods themselves eerily quiet around them. they stay away from any roads, cutting a path that follows the coordinates on their drakenet phones. ahead, a spot check of 24+ will spot the vehicle parked between a few trees, even in the darkness. ]

[Still in the lead of the group, Kate doesn't catch sight of the car (spot 10 action point says 20). She's mostly just keeping her focus on the area around them to make sure there aren't any guards or other kinds of trouble about. So she'll just keep sweeping the area until someone else points it out.]

[ zatanna stops in her tracks while the rest are looking, as a message pops up to interrupt her drakenet google maps. ] We've got trouble. [ in fact, everyone gets the message, and she looks up, frowning ] And I think we're right in the line of fire.

Kate glances to Willow and the rest of the group, before turning her eyes back to the rest of the area, spotting the car but now she's looking for monsters too (spot 27). It's just a standard sedan but maybe it will serve as enough of a shield, depending on what comes at them (wisdom 19).]

Wynn said the prisoners were in a car, right? Maybe we can use it for cover. We can't just leave the one guy there as creature chow.

We're not too far from the coastal cove where Kadir's team is stationed. If they're coming for the castle, we might want to call some of them up here for back up.

[Allison will just opt to keep her bow out, not that it's gone anywhere, and wait for whatever the rest of the team decides.

We've got reinforcements on the way. [ she slips the phone away, and then stares off into the woods. ] Let's stay sharp. Does anyone see that car?

[Kate caught it on her last spot check from above if she can still use it, turning and pointing to the sedan.]

That looks like it.

[ zee follows her gesture and nods, heading that way, keeping one eye on the trees. as they get closer, she raises a hand and says: ] Nepo! [ and the trunk lid flies up.

inside, they see one guard... bound and gagged, apparently unconscious, stuffed next to what is clearly another guard - dead, bleeding out of both the kneecap and the massive gunshot wound that obliterated half his face. ] They weren't kidding.

[Kate grimaces a bit at the dead guard, before glancing around.]

We've got two choices. We could either pull the living one out of the trunk and try and get him somewhere safer on foot, or we can use the car and drive it.

[She moves forward past the trunk to see of the keys are still in the car (spot 22).]

[Willow steps up to get a closer look and... regrets that decisions immediately.]

We can't just leave them in there...

[Kate looks sympathetic, because she doesn't like the idea either, but she doesn't see another option at the moment.]

If we have to move them quickly, it may be our best bet - just long enough to get clear of the monsters.

We're not leaving anybody. [ He just doesn't do that. ] If people want to go on then fine, but I'm going to help.

[Kate frowns, confused.]

I'm not saying leave anyone anywhere. I'm saying use the car to transport them, and us - but we may have to leave them in the trunk, at least for right now.

Let's get in then. [ she waves a hand at the keyless ignition ] Trats! [ annnd it hums to life ] Who's driving?

I can? [She used to drive Buffy around because no one should let Buffy drive. Not that she has any drive ranks, so this could be potentially terrible.]

Alright. All in. [ and she'll take the front seat. errybody buckle up. ]
