WHO || Lis'sa Trinall, Zero, Andrew Gatewood, Jordan Reeves, Emma Swan, Faye Chamberlain, Lila Zacharov, Aurelius Greyfire, Mars Dacey, Kate Bishop
WHAT || A team of Knights is tasked to take control of the Communications tower on the island.
WHERE || Andres Isle
WHEN || September 19th, 2014
HOW || Actionspam
[ The communications tower team is two-fold, but they'll be traveling together to the Isle via a greater teleport scroll as well. The larger group arrives at the outskirts of the wood, and it's easy enough to spot the giant tower, not far off down the road. Night is falling, and they're shaded from the empty road at the moment by the tree line they're close to. Lis'sa looks irritated by the method of travel, checking over her supplies before confirming for them that they've landed on target. Zero hoists his laptop case onto his shoulder, as Aurelius pats himself down, obviously afraid of missing body parts from the jaunt. ]

[ his voice is strained as he talks, the lines around his mouth more defined as he pauses, clearly taking his time in thinking over his choice of words. ] It feels as though there is a magnet between the two of us, a pull from you to me [ and as he speaks she would begin to feel this same strange pull nestled in the left side of her chest and feeling the echo of it residing in the left of his] like a ribbon tied from rib to rib. An anchor, weighing down my heart.
[ his eyes find hers finally. ] That is how it feels.

But it might explain why she doesn't necessarily see what he's saying is a bad thing.]
I'm your first? [Now is not the time to joke, but Faye is still a pretty terrible person (if you didn't pick that up from the way she's currently enslaving the genie).] Would it help if I promise to be gentle?

After a moment he lets out a quick breath, ignoring the insinuation of her words as he answers her questions, as he must.] Yes, you are my first "master."
[A strange look crosses his features as he seems to contemplate her offer 'to be gentle'.[] Would you really make such a promise, and keep it?

Maybe the hesitation speaks for itself. She moves her bag, holding onto it with both hands.]

Clearing his throat, eyes falling away from Faye once more he nods.] Ah. I see.

But he so clearly expected her to keep it. And she wanted to. She could solve a lot of problems with three wishes.]
What do you see? [She says finally, responding to his choice of words.] Honestly. When you look at me, what do you see?
no subject
Honestly? [His eyes come back up to her slowly, almost painfully. He doesn't know her, not personally. He doesn't know her story, he has no idea of her experiences, troubles, trama's, joys or woes. He only knows her from what he has seen on this mission, these past few moments when she grabbed his freedom by the throat and took it for her own gain. ~Genie drama~
He takes in a deep breath, eyes locked on hers as he answers her question honestly, brutally (wisdom:24).] Honestly, I see a beautiful young woman (he's not blind, okay?, and though he is so much older than she is, she is definitely not a little girl...) who is terribly desperate. I don't know what has driven you to the desperation to take my bottle, what drives you to think you need to make these wishes, but I can tell you with all certainty that they will not make anything better. In all my years, I have seen nothing but grief and misery come to those who have held the bottle of a Djinn. It's not just for my own sake, my own freedom, that I urge you to release me from your command. I have seen the greed of man when in control of one of my kin, what the thought of the power one could acquire from us does to a mortal. It twists them, changes them for the worse, and I do not want that to happen to you.
[He doesn't stop there though, continuing with his observation of her as commanded.] I also see someone who is scared, along with being desperate. I don't know what you are scared of, or who if it is someone who has scared you, but it is there in you, and I can see it. [and indeed he seems to be able to see deeply inside her, down to the depths of her soul, but whatever he finds there only seems only to sadden him (Wis check: Nat 20).]
Please Faye don't let your fear, your desperation, control you. The consequences of your actions will haunt you for the rest of your life, if you do not heed my warnings. [Diplomacy: 24?]

And as stubborn as she is, as much as she doesn't want to say anything, to just tell him to shut up, what he says strikes her and makes her take a shaking breath (will save 23).]
Everything I thought I had figured out feels like it's falling away. [She had felt so secure with her magic, but the incident in Germany now made her question if she could be a valuable part of the team if and when magic stops working. Her relationship with Emma felt solid, but then Emma died, and then her son came back, and then she nearly died again here. The only thing she has for sure is Lila and even then- sometimes she just feels like she's waiting for Lila and Sylar to run off together and never look back. Things had felt firm and now she feels like she's sinking into quicksand. But this bottle, these wishes could be her answer.]

I'm sorry for that, Faye. [And he really is, his very genuine concern for her plain to see.] But you have to believe that nothing that is meant to be will ever truly fall away from you. And getting what you want by taking a short cut, by wishing for it, is not the way to keep it.

Old habits die hard, because now she doesn't need those defenses, but they're a security blanket of sorts. She's mean because that's what she knows best.]
Meant to be? If you want something, you can't just hope that fate will let you keep it. You have to take what you want.

Where am I meeting you?
[Because they are not going to be separated when shit gets real.]

Emma and Lila descend the comms tower to find Faye and Jordan. ]
We need to move. How are the others doing outside?
no subject
Not really sure. No word from them, but I haven't heard anything sound like it's going wrong.
[No news is good news??? Wynn's news was terrible so it seems like a legit theory.]

[ She gives Faye a nod, picking up to keep striding towards the exit of the tower. ]
