[ The two groups tasked to deal with the denizens of the Shadow Village arrive on the bank of the river that bisects the capitol city of Andres in half.  The river slopes down from the woods and city around it, meaning that they're afforded a bit of concealment here, unless anyone stood at the top and looked down.  At this hour of the night, however, there's no one around.   Dovan grumbles a bit about 'blasted magic' as they shake off the disorienting sense of vertigo, while Koraith waits for Belle to confirm they've arrived in the right place.  She pats Gold on the arm as she pulls out her phone, and moments later, she nods to the others in confirmation.

The water laps gently nearby against the rocks, and in the distance, a bridge is visible that links the segregated Shadow village with its thatched roof houses, to the city proper, which seems lined with wealthy manor homes.  ]

I meant here on Andres. [ but also that probably. belle looks uncertain, but indra waves them in too. ] But no, I haven't seen any other Pathfinders since I found myself in this land. But you should know, this place is far from kind to non-humans - if you haven't discovered that for yourself already.

[grimrot]

Well, yes, that's actually why we're here. [She waves over at Belle and Gold.] We're with the Knights of the Silver Dragon. We're planning on overthrowing Sarandis. Would you like to help?

[undealt]

[Gold pauses, suddenly distracted from #crossspecieslesbians, as he turns his head in the direction of the bridge.]

Did anyone else hear gunfire? [(listen 19)]

[untethered]

[ belle doesn't hear it, but she trusts gold, looking off worriedly into the distance ] Do you think... do you think something's gone wrong?

[undealt]

I think the battle may have reached us.

[He turns towards Indra and Grimrot, grabbing Belle's hand.] We need to make certain any non-combatants make it out of the village safely lest the fighting spill over. Belle and I will hold the line until we receive word from the team securing weapons.

[Look at him being a good boyfriend and not making Belle stay behind... Mostly because he knows she won't. And he'd rather keep her where he can see her.]

Indra, was it? [He nods at the woman.] If you know anyone with magic, spread the word and send them to join us. It's time Sarandis's men learned precisely what they're dealing with.

[grimrot]

[Grimrot gives Indra an apologetic smile.] Not exactly the best circumstances for a reunion, but rather familiar, isn't it?

[bloodrager]

A little too much. If I had a weapon, I'd be right out there with you. But I know a few people. I'll send them out.

[grimrot]

We brought weapons! I... had a feeling Sarandis wouldn't be arming the people he oppresses.

[undealt]

[Gold tugs Belle's hand.] We'll leave the two of you to it, then.

[AND OFF THEY GO. To join the fight.]

[bloodrager]

[ indra watches them go like ... but then turns back to her friend, folding her arms ] You mean you have them here?

[grimrot]

Well, not on me, no, besides my own mace and crossbow. But yes, we have them. And we intend to have more! There's a team attacking the armory that will no doubt supply us with much of what we need.

[bloodrager]

Just point me where you need me.

[grimrot]

[Grimrot smiles, pleased to have her friend here and working with her.]

Well, we do need to rouse the village, get those who can fight ready to fight and those who can't out to safety. As Sir Gold said, we may want to focus on finding the non-combatants and getting them to safety. I imagine you know the town well enough to aid us in that respect?

[bloodrager]

[ indra hesitates for a moment because THAT DOESNT SOUND LIKE LOPPING HEADS OFF but fine w/e, she trusts u ] I think so, yes.

[grimrot]

[THAT PART IS COMING but you don't want to get blood on the children do you.]

Great! We can round them up and bring them to the others, then get you a sword!

[bloodrager]

I suppose that's acceptable. Come on, then. Let's not waste any time.

[grimrot]

[And off they go to gather children! Grimrot's happy to let Indra lead the way because in this one specific case, she's pretty sure Indra's knowledge local will beat out hers. Probably. Maybe. ....she's happy to try and assist.]
