[ The two groups tasked to deal with the denizens of the Shadow Village arrive on the bank of the river that bisects the capitol city of Andres in half.  The river slopes down from the woods and city around it, meaning that they're afforded a bit of concealment here, unless anyone stood at the top and looked down.  At this hour of the night, however, there's no one around.   Dovan grumbles a bit about 'blasted magic' as they shake off the disorienting sense of vertigo, while Koraith waits for Belle to confirm they've arrived in the right place.  She pats Gold on the arm as she pulls out her phone, and moments later, she nods to the others in confirmation.

The water laps gently nearby against the rocks, and in the distance, a bridge is visible that links the segregated Shadow village with its thatched roof houses, to the city proper, which seems lined with wealthy manor homes.  ]

This is our home, and we've watched Dimitris poison it long enough. [ he steps up next to lara, looking between the others and nodding. ] We might not have a lot of experience in fighting but... the more hands, the better. And we can't just support these people from the shadows forever.

[David remembers those names from the briefing (wisdom 17), and he won't deny that the more hands they have on deck, the better the outcome will be. The problem is, he doesn't know what these people looked like in the first place, and he's having a hard time getting a read on them (sense motive 10). So he'll just look to Dovan, Tia and Hasmed on the decision, but will ask:]

Which of the Knights did you meet with?

Front line warriors in front of the temple, second string split between the right and the left, mages and ranged fighters to the roof, and the rest of you remaining in here for those who break through.

[David draws his sword and heads to the sides. He would be front line but he also likes to flank so he's going to head to the left. He's taking the blond cat girl with him.]

[Miles watches David go left and decides to go right himself. He's not sure he has the skills to be the first line of defense, but he's not ranged, either.]

Gold does squeeze Belle's hand as he heads off, reluctant to leave her behind with all these crazy dragon's hoard bitches, but oh well... :(]

[ she waves the girl to the side, laying a hand gently against her wound as she allows the light from her palm to quickly mend the lesion (+16 hp).

she'll then hold her position inside the temple, near the front doors, making herself available for those injured to fall back. she's also prepared to rush out front, if need be. ]

belle runs after him actually, reaching for his arm, and putting a hand to her excalibur to indicate it tentatively. ] I won't do much good down here. Maybe I can-- Maybe I can help up there.

[ somebody needs to go out front, so davin's going to take some of the locals and slip out that way. nyna looks to matt, raising an eyebrow as she pauses in following.

[Grimrot hangs out inside, since honestly she's more of a book person than a fighter, but she's got her mace and she's ready to smack any bitches that come inside. Meanwhile Andie zips off to the right.... then zips back and tries to... stay with the group. It's a hard life for her.]

[ indra spares a few words for her friends as she hefts her axe over here, before heading out front ] If we do our job well, hopefully you won't need to see any combat.

[Riddick has stayed quiet at the back of the group, not having anything to add aside from where he would be placing himself for the coming fight. He is a bit injured from the fight they just left, but he's never let a little blood stop him before. Once they start dispersing he'll head to the front of the temple.]
