[ The two groups responsible for evacuation of Shadowkind travel to the island via stealth boat, which puts their arrival a little behind everyone else's.  They run aground not far from both the woods, and the harbor.   Edain grins out at the sleepy island, dressed in full armor, hand on the hilt of his sword.  Anastacia frowns as she watches the woods, however, clearly more on edge about what they have to do. ]

From here, everything looks so peaceful...

[ while solace is scolding taradiddle, abigail gets up and heads toward astrid under the illusion of going to hit the head. she does briefly poke in to grab a paper towel to wipe her hands, but then she ducks back out and quietly sits next to astrid like nbd. oops, segregation. look, she only cares about solace and astrid is normally nice to her and doesn't often stab people? so... w/e ]

[ meanwhile SOLACE TAKES ANOTHER CALL ] The prison team requires one of us immediately.

[Taradiddle's just kind of sulking now since she doesn't... have any cleric friends to talk with. Erky seemed cool but he's gone, and now it's just Abby and Astrid who she's sure are being mean about her. Plus Solace is mad at her and she's honestly not sure where it got out of control like this. She doesn't think particularly poorly of non-magic healers, past not understanding why they'd go the route they'd go. She does think kind of poorly of Astrid, and that's partly Astrid being abrasive and partly Taradiddle being friends with Bambi. She didn't think much at all of Abigail until she started ganging up with Astrid against her.

She's feeling lonely and friendless and like she made a huge mistake joining the knights at all. She can't even do that much healing herself. Who's she trying to fool? She doesn't belong here.

So she doesn't volunteer. She just shrugs a shoulder.]

You're just gonna pick someone, right?

Considering the extent of their reported injuries, I believe it will be best to send Sir Vergara.

Right away. [ she nods and moves to disembark without question. ]

So what reported injuries will be worthy of the rest of us? Paper cuts?

Delegation is a matter of experience and timing, Sir Taradiddle. Those on missions that are more time sensitive, or who are likely to face down further enemies very soon, are in greater need of the instant relief provided by clerics, particularly those who are able to heal great damage very swiftly. Those in a position to take the time to recuperate will be tended by our medics. I would ask that you trust me to do the job I'm assigned to do, as I will of you when your time comes.

[ la de da abigail and then astrid come back because abigail is the cat whisperer.

astrid is the cat in this scenario.

anyway, abigail takes her same seat again and pulls out a granola bar because she's hungry and silently offers some to taradiddle. ~peacemaking or whatever. taradiddle can also be a cat. ]

[Taradiddle's still sulking, but she's also hungry, so she eyes the granola bar.]

[ popping some in her mouth, abigail shakes her head. ] Only if you're allergic to peanut butter or chocolate.

[She tilts her head and pulls her grey cloak closer around her body.]

I'm not, I'm being practical. If you're starving you can't help anyone. [ blunt honesty??? ] Healing expends your energy, so you should eat something to make up for it.

[ meanwhile RING RING solace is on the phone again sigh ]

[astrid is here sliding in silently back to where she was sitting before, watching like a creeper as solace takes his next phone call.]

[ when he hangs up, he directs his attention to astrid anyway ] We've a member unconscious on the demolitions team who requires treatment - Sir Trevethor. Astrid, would you tend to him and any others on the team who were wounded?

[she perks up like me??? HE REALLY CALLED ME??? FOR REAL???? and jump to her feet READY FOR ACTION ZOOM] Sure!!

[Taradiddle's gonna take that snack bar and eat it moodily because she's pretty sure Solace picked Astrid JUST because he's annoyed at Taradiddle. On the other hand, this means Astrid's going away, and Taradiddle's okay with that.]

[ shortly thereafter, solace takes another call, this time nodding to abigail. ] We've one down in a shack off the docks, needs to be stabilized. You'll have to hurry.

[lurings]

[ abigail scoops up her rifle, and hurries off without a word as fast as her little legs will carry her. ]

[ SUP TDIDDLE. your awkward hangouts with solace are interrupted by this pleasant message. hooraaaay. ] ... It's likely they'll have need of us both, soon. Be ever ready.

[Yeah, Tdiddle's definitely been sulking but THIS WAS NOT EXACTLY WHAT SHE WAS HOPING FOR SHE WANTED LOTS OF NICE MODERATELY INJURED PEOPLE THIS IS MORE THAN SHE WAS EXPECTING. She forces a smile.]

Great! I can totally handle this!

[Bluff 18.....]

Are you just saying that to make me feel better about sending everyone else out first?
