[ The two groups responsible for evacuation of Shadowkind travel to the island via stealth boat, which puts their arrival a little behind everyone else's.  They run aground not far from both the woods, and the harbor.   Edain grins out at the sleepy island, dressed in full armor, hand on the hilt of his sword.  Anastacia frowns as she watches the woods, however, clearly more on edge about what they have to do. ]

From here, everything looks so peaceful...

[Thoster is comfortable with magic and has no reason not to trust it. He sticks close to Hook, placing a friendly hand on the man's shoulder.]

[ solace's group will be staying on the boat for now, until some of the groups have moved out and it becomes clear where troops are being dispersed / medical aid is needed. for now, they get to... hang out with solace yaaaaaaaaaaaaay ]

[ abigail snorts softly, fiddling with her phone, rifle resting in her lap. this is funny because she and alex were talking about her playing poker while they waited. not off by much. but she doesn't answer because she doesn't want to play and doesn't know how to play. they can carry on without her. such a team player, this one. ]

[astrid is sitting off by herself on the other side of the boat, looking cross and discontent with life. she's not crying bc she made her will save ok, but it was on the table. when abigail approaches her, she looks over with a scrutinizing look and asks] What do you want?

To sit with someone who doesn't consider me inherently incapable because I don't need magic to save someone's life. [ well, that's debatable, abigail, you've only taken lives okay. you've yet to save anyone but yourself...

BUT STILL. ] Or help at all, probably. [ the medics suck was pretty all encompassing. ]

[she decides that's an acceptable answer and that abigail can stay, but she still doesn't feel much like talking. she is a ball of impotent ginger rage.

Yeah. [ that sure sounds a lot like duh. but she tugs at her scarf to display the thin scar. ] I have a lot of experience with doctors and I lived with a guy that used to be a surgeon. I know what good doctors look like.

[ clad in his knight's armor, edain can only move so quietly (move silently 15), but he still doesn't make too much noise as he slips onto the docks, moving between long rows of boats. most of them seem to be private yachts, likely owned by the rich and powerful on the isle, but there are also some that look like they've brought cargo here and there. ]

[thoster is also rocking some sweet armor, but he's doing great at keeping quiet (move silently 25). As they move towards the rows of boats, Thoster has a heavy preference for the vessels that remind him more of his ship.]

Anything transporting cargo is less likely to draw attention. [He says in a low, quiet voice.]

[Do they really need him here? They have plenty of swashbucklers and they put the negotiator in the front line. Bloodthristy pirate, he is not. He sighs as he disembarks the ship. But it's time to be a bad-ass like what his mentor told him to do. Brantley, who is definitely not in an armor because he doesn't want to repeat the accident on his first day as a squire, carefully follows Edain. But that doesn't seem to be the case since he still falls while getting off (move silently nat 1). He does try to break his fall and muffle the sound, but that probably isn't that effective. (dex 10).]

[Hook's moving reasonably quiet (move silently 15), so he turns back and glares when Brantley starts making lots of noise.] We may not end up having time to be picky.

[ Trailing quietly behind Brantley, sans armor (move silently 19), Adi grins and offers him a hand to help him up, keeping his voice low. ] But if we do have time, cargo's a good choice. Plenty of space, and people are used to seeing them dock at odd hours.
