[ The two groups responsible for evacuation of Shadowkind travel to the island via stealth boat, which puts their arrival a little behind everyone else's.  They run aground not far from both the woods, and the harbor.   Edain grins out at the sleepy island, dressed in full armor, hand on the hilt of his sword.  Anastacia frowns as she watches the woods, however, clearly more on edge about what they have to do. ]

From here, everything looks so peaceful...

[ edain also tries to lance those around brantley - (atk 29, 30, and 24 all hit: 14 dmg downs the first one, 26 penetration damage the next), so he moves onto one by adi (10 dmg), taking out the one he's already injured ]

[ permission from melissa to roll for adi until she's back, soooo with a 16 attack, he stabs at the creature still near to him (11 penetration dmg!), nearly taking it out. it snaps back at him, overly cautious (atk 6), while another goes for max again and misses, and the third for hook, also probably missing with a 13, go things. ]

Gah! [And that bite took down Brantley. He is on the floor, drifting slowly but surely to the other side of life. And if he doesn't survive this, please don't put "He lies Brantley River, victim of crab attack," on his tombstone.]

edain sticks the one in front of adi (atk 31, dmg 23), skewering it, and then swings around to chop the one max just shot, finishing off the last of them.

/init but brantley needs to make a fort save to try to stabilize... ] Can anyone help him?!

[Poor bastard. Hook stands up, wiping the crab guts off his hook and sheathing his sword. Then he picks up the gun he dropped and puts it back in its holster.]

[fort save 13. How can a crab bite do this? Maybe the crab bit his leg off and now he is bleeding to death. Even Brantley doesn't know, he can't feel his legs. Well, he is out cold, he literally can't feel them.]

[ with a firm nod, abigail moves forward, tugging out her med kit and crouching down next to brantley and going to fucking town to stabilize him (treat injury 20 total) and then revive him (treat injury 22). wakey wakey! she will work on hit points once she is sure he is conscious. ]

Think we've bigger problems than crabs. [ edain looks grimly at his phone as wynn's voice spills out for them all to hear. ]

[Welp. Hook draws his sword as voices come out of the talking phone.] Guess we've our work cut out for us, then. [A beat.] Someone should make sure Thoster heard.

[What? He doesn't get a wake-up kiss? That's dissapointing. He gets back to conciousness nevertheless. He slowly opens his eyes and makes a grunting noise as soon as he starts to feel the pain again.] Uhhh... My foot, is it... still there? [He asks the nearest person without even thinking who they are. With -6 hp, it's hard to know since all you can think is the pain.]

It's not pretty. But that's something that can be fixed later. [ max nods to hook, taking another look around grimly ] This place, we can come back for, after all's said and done. But it's pretty damning evidence to show the people of Andres what's been going on.

[ abigail quickly finishes bandaging brantley's would, and even though her heart isn't in it (BECAUSE WIIL IS IN THE PALACE OH NO) she manages to restore a whopping 3 hp. (treat injury 31) she rocks back on her heels and glances around at all these people she doesn't know/care about as she straightens up and decides max is close enough to the boss for her purposes. ]

That's all I can do for now. Should I go back to Sir Solace? [ or stay here with them??? help??? ]
