[ The two groups responsible for evacuation of Shadowkind travel to the island via stealth boat, which puts their arrival a little behind everyone else's.  They run aground not far from both the woods, and the harbor.   Edain grins out at the sleepy island, dressed in full armor, hand on the hilt of his sword.  Anastacia frowns as she watches the woods, however, clearly more on edge about what they have to do. ]

From here, everything looks so peaceful...

[Brantley awkwardly stares at them like "for real?". It's not his ship and they're pirates, but they are going to war. Don't want drunken pirates to steer the warship, do you?]

Uh... maybe we should hold back the drinking until after we manage to evacuate the Shadowkind.

Hopefully we'll hear from the other groups soon. Until we hear from Eric, though, my team's staying with the boat.

Or you cheat and use magic, I guess, I haven't worked out all the kinks yet and there are only so many mages who can do magic nullifying runes and I'm pretty sure the only one I knew is dead because he was like a billion years old. I knew a guy who thought he could use rune magic once. Mostly, he was just mixing that New Age crap with legit magic and getting bullshit.

There was this sexy foreign exchange student girl from Finland I met in college who studied runes, but she was basic as hell and anti-magic fields are hardcore spells. Anyway, Aleksantari was Marketta's grandad or something, so I think it was a family thing.
