The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Hey, new guy. [Stiles greets Liam like he's any random squire because he... doesn't have a single clue who he is.] Anyone teach you the secret handshake yet?

[He proceeds to go through some weird hand motions, making it up as he goes. I rolled a dex check to decide how complicated this shit gets and it's 14? So not terrible?? But Stiles is the worst for this probably.]

[Sadly, Liam's crit failing his sense motive check means he is buying this bullshit hook, line, and sinker. He is taking this s-so seriously rn and he is totally going to try and give someone the secret handshake later and look hella dumb.

But it also means he was distracted enough to not ask Stiles what he was doing here or, you know, anything else that might actually be important and/or worth knowing. But once he gets the handshake down and actually feels accomplished he is just going to come out with a--]

[Let's be real, Stiles had always been kind of a jerk to him, even when he was professing to be "helping" him--calling him a runt, kidnapping (well, aiding and abetting) him, and generally doubting Liam's usefulness to the group.]
