The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

I am sorry, that I did not know sooner. Sir Charming... was sent away, yes. But I can assure you that he is fully alive and well. [ a beat. ] Perhaps we can discuss this somewhere more private.

I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for what happened.

[Wynn wouldn't deliberately keep this from her, and she had no idea anyone from Storybrooke or the Enchanted Forest had been here until today. It had to be some sort of misunderstanding.

She nods.]

[ he gestures for her to go ahead, and follows her out the doors silently, waiting until they've reached the empty halls, doors fallen shut behind them, before he says more. ] What, precisely, did you hear, if I may ask?

Sir Gold told me that a woman was inflicted with a love curse, one that caused the person afflicted to fall for the first person they saw, and that that person was my husband. He said that David was sent away until the problem could be fixed.

[It made...sense, in a way, separating the two, but why send Charming away from his friends when they could simply send this woman home or elsewhere, instead?]

He would not be wrong. [ he eyes her warily for a moment wondering if gold mentioned The Other Thing ] The woman in question is Amara. One of the Homo Magi.

[He sure didn't. He left that up to you, Wynn. Have fun with that.

She's certainly upset that some other woman is apparently in love with him, curse or no, but otherwise she just looks...hopeful.]

I've...heard of them, but I don't know much more than that. It's a shame she's been cursed, though. How did that even happen? Who would want to do such a thing?

That is something that as of yet, we do not know. The Homo Magi are the most powerful magic users in the world - and on account of this curse, they have become rather... violently insular. Which makes it quite difficult for us to find out more.

So, then, when will Charming be able to come home? Never?

[She's not going to accept that, nope.]

Where is he? Surely you'll let me go see him.

I'm... afraid that may prove a dangerous enterprise for you, Sir White. Too dangerous for me to be willing to risk, as it will also endanger others.

The Homo Magi in question is... here, in this castle, and rather desperate to learn where he is. While I've managed to keep this information from her, she may be willing to resort to increasingly dangerous methods to learn it.

You must understand that the Homo Magi have suffered this curse for generations untold. Finding a cure has always been unlikely to be an overnight affair. David knew this.

[Snow's mouth just closes, though she manages to hold back anything remotely in the realm of tears.

David does not seem to have retained many memories of his past life. As I said, I was unaware of the connection between the two of you, and I believe he was as well.

While he attempted to resist Amara's... advances initially, temptation, it would seem, got the better of him. [ it's clear that he's doing his damndest to say this diplomatically.
