Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

The Knight's new section head, Wynn, and their mentor Knight wait up at the front of the room for their approach, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

Magic-wise? Not really. But I did figure out that I'm really useless with my fists. That was a good day.

[His training with David isn't going so well...]

Do you need help? [ she pauses the tiniest bit as the song slows down. instead of putting a stop to the dancing, however, she just slips her hand down to take his and puts it on her waist. so smooth. ] With your fists, I mean. I'm stronger than I look.

Uh, sure I guess. [He lets her guide him into the slow song stance, giving a little twitch of a smile.] I can use all the help I can get at this point.

You can't be that bad. [ god he's so tall though. she's used to it because will is the same height and hannibal was taller, but she's usually not all up in stiles' personal space like this, where her arms have to lift up to curl around his neck.

well, not since she kissed him in the middle of andres.

BLUSHES INTENSELY JUST THINKING ABOUT IT. JUMPS OFF A CLIFF. ]

[He notices that blush and gives her an amused, confused look.]

What is it?

[lurings]

Nothing, just-- thinking.

[ nailed it. ]

Andres. [ that's vague enough lmao. ]

Oh. [He doesn't really know what to say to that. Andres makes her blush???]

[lurings]

You know, after. Before you found your mountain ash.

[It dawns on him, a small smile forming.]

Uh huh...

[lurings]

[ blushing intensifies and she looks down, tiny smile matching his. she feels all a twitter and it's weird.

but nice. ]

[His hand reaches up to tuck back a piece of her hair.]

You can just say it, you know.

[lurings]

[ as he brushes her hair back, she glances up. ]

Shut up, you know what I mean. ...I liked it.

Oh yeah? [Okay, he won't tease her forever. Dropping his voice, he's still smiling but there's a lot of sincerity there.] I liked it too.

[lurings]

[ slowly, bottom lip scraping between her teeth: ] Well. Feel free.

[Leaning in, he presses a soft, fairly chaste kiss to her lips. It's brief, but sweet and warm. It's almost like a promise for more just like it to come. He's getting comfortable doing that. He likes that he can be comfortable with something like that.]

[theminotaur]

[ she feels a little smile tugging at her lips and when he pulls away, her exhale is shaky, but her blue eyes flutter open to show a delicate, tenuous merriment. ]

We should... our song's over.

[killingtodeath]

Yeah? [He's not sure if she's looking to leave or something.]

[theminotaur]

We should probably move out of the dancing area... [ and idk casually make out somewhere else. jk, she just wants to hang. actually, speaking of-- ] Actually, come with me.

[ she takes a firm step back and holds out her hand. adventure awaits, sir! ]

Unless, you have a pressing matter to attend to here.

[He gives her a curious look, but just smiles and takes her hand.]

Can't think of anything more important.

[theminotaur]

Good. [ AND SHE DRAGS HIM OUT OF THE ROOM. and down the hall. and down another hall. and down some other hall. there are halls. they're going down a few. ]

We're going to the movie theater. [ not a hint, so much as an answer. ]
