Between the various members of the wedding party, everything comes together just in time for the big event. Within a few weeks' time, the day has finally arrived. Whether they've met or spoken to the bride and groom, the entire isle of Andres is invited to this event. Cool colors are prominent throughout the ceremony set up on the Andres coast. From the bridesmaids dresses to the flower arrangements to the beautiful blue sky and sea, it's a very calming atmosphere.

Once the ceremony is finished, everyone is invited to the reception, held at the Andres palace. There's food, drink, and music. Tables are available, but with such an open guest list, there's no assigned seating- other than the main table up front where the wedding party and their guests will sit last supper style.

[Whatever the groomsmen were wearing, Des has probably shed some of it, because October on the beach is hella warm, so it's likely he's just wandering around in a slightly unbuttoned dress shirt with his tie half undone like a schlep. HE WAS FANCY FOR AN HOUR, LEAVE HIM ALONE.

It is probably noticeable for anyone who was at Vi's wedding that he is alone, but he doesn't seem to mind it too much. Whatever stress he's been under, given Rafael being incommunicado and all that, for awhile seems to be lifted momentarily as he grazes the buffet table and drinks and even dances a bit. It's Myri's wedding, okay. All baggage can be left at the door.]

[if you thought alex only came to the wedding to try and hook up with zarad (again) ... well, that's probably true. which is why he approaches des and launches right into] Where's your better, blonder half?

[des's face is probably super attractive right now, considering he was stuffing his face seconds before and grimacing around chipmunk cheeks isn't delicate. at least he swallows before he speaks.]

[Des gives Alex a look over his plate and considers the question.] Well, in June, when we left, he said- and I'm paraphrasing here- that despite everyone around flirting with him, all he could think of was me fucking him the whole night, and that's still true four months later...

[ at some point, alice abandons will to socialize on his own. which is what finds her at the food table by des. it is not what makes her reach out and uses him as a support as she unbuckles her heels and lets them drop to the floor. no, that was because of a gross miscalculation of how long she could remain standing in five inch heels without breaking both of ankles or becoming permanently crippled in later life. being taller than will has lost it's appeal.

she sighs happily when her bare feet touch the cold floor and she pulls her hand back from where it was gripping des' shoulder. she flashes him a brief, perfunctory smile. ]

[Des freezes as he's being used as a support beam, but mercifully doesn't move that whole time, because... wow. It's half chivalry and half curiosity.]

You're welcome. [he eyes her shoes.] Personally, it's my opinion that any shoe with a heel that could double as a shiv ain't fit for walking in, but I'm not a woman.

Too true. And they're much harder to conceal without messing up the cleavage. The dashing groomsman and his crabcakes. I hope you don't mind playing second fiddle. [He grins as he holds up one said crabcakes, only to put it back on the plate as he looks her over. So much for second fiddle.] You look great.

Not the traditional wedding garb, I'll admit. [She gives a small nod to the compliment.] But thank you. I know I could never compare to the crab cakes of course...

Well, a wedding is bound to brighten any atmosphere. I think we all needed a break from the heaviness of the rebuild. I'm glad the happy couple were so generous to share their good fortune with the rest of us. I take it you know them well.

[it was a compliment about the wedding and myri being happy, but he's a weirdo, so it could be all three. WE JUST DON'T KNOW.]

I was Finnick's manager for a whole year when he was a pop star. [You sold his soul to Burt Becksworth.] And Myri's... Well, Myri's like a kid sister. A sweet, adoring kid sister who needs to be protected.
