Between the various members of the wedding party, everything comes together just in time for the big event. Within a few weeks' time, the day has finally arrived. Whether they've met or spoken to the bride and groom, the entire isle of Andres is invited to this event. Cool colors are prominent throughout the ceremony set up on the Andres coast. From the bridesmaids dresses to the flower arrangements to the beautiful blue sky and sea, it's a very calming atmosphere.

Once the ceremony is finished, everyone is invited to the reception, held at the Andres palace. There's food, drink, and music. Tables are available, but with such an open guest list, there's no assigned seating- other than the main table up front where the wedding party and their guests will sit last supper style.

[Andrew doesn't really know the happy couple either, but as someone who is actively planning his own post wedding celebration, he wants to check it out and try to get some ideas.

Instead, he ends up finding Frankie, who is a fellow nerd in her own way so he's going to head over to her while she's getting a beer, because he needs one too.]

Anything good on tap? [He asks her, peering around the bar area to see what they have.]

Currently working my way through the local brews. [Nodding towards the taps.] Ask for the pale ale. It's currently in the lead.

[She offers Andrew a wry grin as she half turns to survey the celebrations but from the way she stands, the empty glass nearby, it's pretty clear this is the spot she's claimed for the day.]

Though I hear the wine's not bad if that's your thing.

God, no. [He's not a wine guy. At all. Ordering the pale ale she recommended, Andrew leans an elbow against the bar and glances out at the rest of the party.]

So how's this whole set up measure up? Haven't been to a lot of weddings before. This one any good?

Ahh, it's on the big side but my family is Italian so this is pretty normal for me. [Cracking a half smile as she refocuses on Andrew.]

Guest lists at Italian weddings tend to include anyone you've ever met whose name ends in a vowel. [Her dry tone washed down with a mouthful of beer.] But definitely one of the better ones I've been to. No long winded speeches, open bar? Can't go wrong with that combo.

Irish weddings aren't much different. People show up from fucking everywhere- just sort of claiming they knew you when you were small and you have to go with it. Because fuck if you're going to be able to argue about it.

Open bar solves and starts all problems. Pretty much a requirement, I think.

And seat the people with the most obnoxious laughs, as far from the bridal table as you can manage. There's like, a direct correlation between irritating laughter and a need to drink yourself deaf.

Probably won't have a seating chart or anything. [He says, not realizing that he's basically admitting that this is research.] Just a big fucking party makes more sense to me.

[Her gaze slides back to Andrew, eyebrows creeping up her forehead as she gives him a pointed look.]

Something you want to tell me about Andrew? [A slow grin forming at the corner of her lips.]

Huh? [He snaps his attention to her.] Oh, uh... Yeah, I guess I haven't mentioned it, huh? Bo and I sort of... y'know.

[Nope. She doesn't, at least not at first but a moment later, something appears to click and her whole face brightens, Frankie reaching out to give Andrew a pat on the shoulder.]

You got engaged?! That's awesome, congratulations!

[lmmfao]

Eh... not exactly. [He scratches the back of his head.] We eloped.

[Blinkedy-blink.] You... When the hell did this happen?! [More surprised excited than WT-Actual-Fuck however.]

Right before we left for Andres? Literally the night before. Just sort of decided it's what we wanted and found a cleric. Nice girl. Bit odd but it worked for us.

So you guys just, skipped the whole engagement thing and went straight to the marriage bit, huh? [Her grin grows wide, mostly because she can't help but imagine the meltdown her Mum would have if she ever did that.] Good for you.

You're planning a reception or something then, yeah? [Given the conversation? 1 + 1 and all that.]

Something like that. She's sort of a bartender in her spare time? So the party stuff is sort of her thing. I'm just trying to get some ideas to help out. Not really much of a party guy. I know- you're surprised.

Utterly shocked. [That deadpan reply lightened by a small half grin.] Ah you guys have got the formalities out of the way so you can just skip the whole, sit down side of things and throw one big party to celebrate. All you need for that is booze. You'll be fine.

Yep, that's the plan. Booze and probably music? Food and shit too, I guess.

Skip the sit down meal thing you usually get with receptions. Just go with finger foods. Keeps the masses from getting too drunk and yet still less costly to you.

Seems like a good plan. [He types more notes into his phone.] Might have to wait for December at this rate. Don't want these two thinking we're trying to show them up or anything.

Plus, you can have it back in London. No needing to worry about cleaning up this place with a hangover.

Oh yeah. That's definitely the plan. Not really keen on throwing a party all the way out here.

Was a nice idea for these guys, inviting all of Andres... and I guess that's one way to dodge the reception bill. [Joking. Maybe.]

Ha, yeah true. Not that Wynn will charge us to use the castle back home or anything.

Here's hoping he covers the alcohol as a wedding present then you guys can spend big on the honeymoon.

Not even sure if we'll do a honeymoon. Things are still kind of nuts with all this Andres stuff. [And he would have to talk to their sect leader. And she's scary...]
