Between the various members of the wedding party, everything comes together just in time for the big event. Within a few weeks' time, the day has finally arrived. Whether they've met or spoken to the bride and groom, the entire isle of Andres is invited to this event. Cool colors are prominent throughout the ceremony set up on the Andres coast. From the bridesmaids dresses to the flower arrangements to the beautiful blue sky and sea, it's a very calming atmosphere.

Once the ceremony is finished, everyone is invited to the reception, held at the Andres palace. There's food, drink, and music. Tables are available, but with such an open guest list, there's no assigned seating- other than the main table up front where the wedding party and their guests will sit last supper style.

I'm so happy for you. [ and a little sad for herself, if she's being honest, but mostly the happiness for myri and finnick crowds her own sadness out. ]

How are things with.. [She trails off and puts a hand briefly on her stomach. Which is definitely just a way to gesture and not at all because Myri is also now pregnant. /unsure.]

Oh, it's fine, apparently half-elf pregnancies are super easy -- to make up for how long they last probably. I'm think I'm currently growing a spleen? Maybe an appendix. One of those useless organs no one really needs. I dragged Mark and Michael and Dana to the doctor's with me to find out if it's a boy or girl.

[ she snags a plate of cake and just dives right in. ]

[Myri stops and looks a little expectant before she gives Vi a gentle shove.]

Well? Boy or girl?

[ om nom nom, vi slowly chews and swallows and dabs at her lipstick with a napkin before she answers, drawing it out. ]

She's a girl.

[ which is exactly as vi predicted. she's a little bit psychic. she has espn. ]

A girl! Oh that's wondeful Vi!

[and God she wants to tell Vi about her own pregnancy but she should probably wait, lest Vi might shriek and spill the beans right now. Also Myri is nervous about announcing it.]

I'm guessing you have a name already?

[ yeeeeeah, vi would make a scene tbh. that lack of filter can be a problem. but with a cheerful smile, not noticing anything amiss, she leans forward and whispers the name in myri's ear. ]

It's kind of a mouthful.

So is Myrilandel for a lot of people, but trust me- she'll come to love it. Every syllable.

That's what nicknames are for, I suppose. Hell, barely anyone calls me Violet and like three people know my middle name so it's not like it's going to come up much.

Still, I think it's a lovely name. I can't wait to meet her.

Me either, but I can't decide if it's because there's another six months of this or because, you know, her.

I think there's just so much to look forward to. [Like her baby as well. Oh my god keeping this secret from Vi is the worst. Soon. Soon.] So how does this cake stack up in the grand scheme of cakes?

It is a very nice cake. I would not put it in the communal freeze to save for your anniversary because there is no guarantee it will survive uneaten for a year.

Is that something people do? [Myri gives a small laugh.] We can always just... make more cake, though.

[She came from the Vi School of Why Would We Not Finish the Cake, so this can't be all that surprising.]

Yup, you're supposed to keep it in the freezer and eat it on your first anniversary. I ate mine... on Tuesday.

I think any left over cake can just be yours. Saving it for that seems silly.
