Between the various members of the wedding party, everything comes together just in time for the big event. Within a few weeks' time, the day has finally arrived. Whether they've met or spoken to the bride and groom, the entire isle of Andres is invited to this event. Cool colors are prominent throughout the ceremony set up on the Andres coast. From the bridesmaids dresses to the flower arrangements to the beautiful blue sky and sea, it's a very calming atmosphere.

Once the ceremony is finished, everyone is invited to the reception, held at the Andres palace. There's food, drink, and music. Tables are available, but with such an open guest list, there's no assigned seating- other than the main table up front where the wedding party and their guests will sit last supper style.

You want to meet my mother and father? [ THIS IS ALL VERY SUDDEN ]

Not like that, you goob. I just like meeting people and since you're really sweet, I figure your parents have got to be great, too.

[ she wants to know mark's people, they knew him when he was a kid! when he was baby simba, before he had a mane. ]

I don't suppose it would hurt anything.

Nope. [ most wheedling smile. ]

[ he takes her through the crowd until he finds his mummy and daddy, who don't have a cast, sorry. but his dad legit has a monocle so that's something. ] Mother and father, I'd like you to meet Violet Reedhym.

Hi. [ she smiles sweetly and curtsies a little because why not. she is utterly delighted by the monocle. dana's dad is the coolest. and it's precious that he calls them mother and father. she thought that was only in movies. bless. ]

It's super nice to meet you. Are you enjoying the reception?

[andresian]

[ they regard her coolly, not a smile to be seen, which leaves dana just all the more tense beside her.

"It's certainly a ... change of pace," says his father, which does not sound in any way like a compliment. ]

[ w/e she's used to being a spazz, ain't nothing can stop her flow. so his parents are not as great as dana, so what. her mom isn't exactly all that is to be desired. ]

Myri thought some lightness would be appreciated. Hopefully it won't be the only wedding Andres sees in the coming months.

[andresian]

[ "Of course not," his mother coos, "I'm certain Lara's waited long enough." dana looks a little awkwardchan over here. ] Maybe. We'll see what happens.

[graveflowers]

You know what they say, you can't hurry love. [ a beat. ] Some one says that, right?

[andresian]

I think it's a song. [ he half smiles, as if maybe he's enjoying this a little, as his parents look at them skeptically.

"Hmm," his father says. "Quite." ]

[graveflowers]

[ they're just so... posh. ]

Who knows, maybe it'll be me and Dana.

[andresian]

[ /STRAINED SMILE FROM MOM

"I'm not sure about that," she says. haughtily. that's how they say everything. dana just suddenly looks less entertained gdi mom you're embarrassing ]

[ lmao vi is finding a certain vindictive pleasure in this. not at dana's expense, she feels a little bit bad about that, but she knows she's not good enough for him in anyone's eyes, much less his parents, so it feels kind of nice to make his mom uncomfortable -- even if it's just one not even a date at a wedding.

but since dana is sweet and gentle and nice and adorable, she tones it down as she disengages. ] Don't worry. Dana only escorted me out of pity, the wedding bells that will be pealing for him won't be pealing for me.

[ another tiny, graceful curtsy as she adds, somehow not disingenuously: ] It was nice to meet you both. [ she gives dana's arm a squeeze. ] I'm going to steal Michael for a dance, 'kay? See you later.
