Between the various members of the wedding party, everything comes together just in time for the big event. Within a few weeks' time, the day has finally arrived. Whether they've met or spoken to the bride and groom, the entire isle of Andres is invited to this event. Cool colors are prominent throughout the ceremony set up on the Andres coast. From the bridesmaids dresses to the flower arrangements to the beautiful blue sky and sea, it's a very calming atmosphere.

Once the ceremony is finished, everyone is invited to the reception, held at the Andres palace. There's food, drink, and music. Tables are available, but with such an open guest list, there's no assigned seating- other than the main table up front where the wedding party and their guests will sit last supper style.

To you, maybe. My parents had an arranged marriage, and I never heard either of them say a thing about one another that didn't speak of real love. It just... came to grow after they were together.

Mark. [Gives him her most mom-like mom look. Apparently that shit kicks in really early.]

... Ok, so maybe it's... become a possibility. [ he looks away ] I never even thought about it, really, not until--

It's alright. Things like this will creep up on you in the best of circumstances. But you're in a unique position. I think that... if you can be honest with yourself about it, the rest might come easier.

Easier for who? Because from where I'm standing, all that realizing this has really led to is the understanding that I'm going to hurt somebody no matter what I do.

[witchwoman]

Mark... [This time his name is said softer, stepping closer and reaching for his hand.] I'm not asking you to make any sort of decision right now, to do anything but be honest about what's in your heart.

[ he doesn't say anything for a long beat, letting that sink in, and chewing this over before it comes out. ]




If I love anyone - no, whether I want to let myself or not--

I love Alainn. Maybe I have for awhile, I don't know. I never really thought to put it in words.

[Her OTP are slowly becoming canon on her god damn wedding day. Best present. She tries to contain her smile as much as possible.]

That's good. Saying it- even if you don't know what to do with it. I know it feels too big and complicated to seem like it, but trust me. Being honest with yourself about what your heart wants is always the most important thing.

Then why does it feel like it's just made everything a lot harder?

Because sometimes love isn't easy. Sometimes it hurts and it makes you wonder if it's worth it to feel it at all. But it is, Mark. I swear it is.

I guess you and Finnick didn't really have an easy road either, huh.

[witchwoman]

Not entirely, no. But I wouldn't change it for anything. Because it lead us here. All I want for you is for you to be able to look back and feel the same way- no matter who it is that's at your side.

[She gives his hand a reassuring squeeze.]

Are you up to escorting me back to my party or do you need a moment?

I might... need a second.

[witchwoman]

Of course. [Using her hold on his hand, she tugs him down and presses a soft kiss to his cheek before stepping back. One last encouraging smile is offered before she heads back to the ballroom.]
