[David keeps his distance from Lila for obvious reasons at first - not wanting to get smacked in the head with the meteor hammer - but after a while he starts observing technique and when she takes a break, he speaks up.]

When you're in close like that, try choking up on it a little. It'll give you a little more control.

[ she bristles just slightly that david thinks he needs to correct her, but after looking around to make sure alex isn't around, she ...listens to him. she knows when to concede to someone who knows more. prior to being knighted, most of her time in the training room was with eric so strong, surly guys are easy for her to take pointers from.

she chokes up, pulling more of the chain through her hand before she starts the swing to get momentum again. she's not sure if she feels more control yet, but it seems lighter. her eyes dart up to david. ]

Professional weapons master, yet?

[ she's seen him around the training room enough okay. she notices things. ]

[He wasn't trying to correct her so much as offering a little advice. Her form is good, otherwise, and he likes being helpful, especially when it comes to something he actually knows how to do. He does smirk a bit at the comment though.]

[ she gives it a couple of more swings and twists to slam it into the dummy's stomach. once again she was aiming for the head, but she did not quite make it. which is why the dummy's pants area is basically caved in. (atk 13) ]

Okay, that does feel a little better. [ she starts the swing again. ] Do you actually do anything else here or just loom in the gym?

I give sparring lessons and train some of the younger nights. Lately, most of my time has been on Andres anyway.

[He's good at building houses. He's sticking with what he's good at.]

The rest is ... acclimating. I've got 12 years of history to catch up on.

Yes and no. I came through the Veil, but I'm not from Faerun. I'm actually originally from Chicago, and then a place called Everworld.
