[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions: Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask! Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

Of course, but Emma, love. [He reaches for her hands.] You're allowed to feel better before that, too. You don't need to punish yourself on top of it.

I'm not the one punishing myself! [ Her voice raises, defensive at the suggestion and cracking at the weight of what she perceives as an accusation among so many others. ] Poseidon did that for me. I'm not going to apologize that it's a buzzkill for you that I can't forget that as easily as everyone else seems to.

[unhand]

Do you really think that's what bothers me? [He steps in closer.] Swan, I don't think you're killing any buzz. I simply worry for you.

[uncurse]

[ Something in his words cuts through the veil of anger, and her expression flashes with vulnerability. She quiets some, searching his face, adrift in a sea of hopelessness. She shakes her head. ]

Trust me. You don't want any part in this.

[unhand]

[He shakes his head in return.] No, love, trust me. I know what I want. [He reaches up, touching her cheek lightly with his knuckles.] And it's more powerful than any curse.

[uncurse]

Not this one. [ She doesn't flinch away from him. In fact, her gaze holds a deep, bittersweet longing that wishes she could have the faith that he does, that it hadn't been stripped away with everything else. So she savors the touch. ] And not Amara's.

[unhand]

How are you so certain? [He meets her eyes, his reflecting back hope and pain in equal measures. It hurts to have her push him away and hurts more to see her in pain.] Or are you simply afraid?

[uncurse]

Not afraid. Realistic. Where I come from, there are no happy endings. You didn't see it, but I grew up there. And this world's just like it. This isn't a fairytale, Killian.

[unhand]

I'm not looking for an ending, love. I'm looking for right now. And you can't tell me there's no happiness in this world.

[Not when this world contains Emma. Not when she makes him so happy. Even now, despite everything, he'd rather be by her side than anywhere else.]

[uncurse]

Maybe it is here. [ Sadly, she adds with a shake of her head, ] Maybe some of us just don't get to have it.

How can you be so sure? Have you truly resigned yourself to be cursed forever?

[uncurse]

We haven't been able to help Amara in years; what makes you believe we'll have any better luck with this?

[unhand]

I spent centuries in Neverland. I hardly call a few years enough time to give up.
