[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions: Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask! Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

[Sam doesn't know too much about Hasmed, but he catches Tia's expression and is just going to try and...go with it.]

[He looks at Tia briefly, then back to Hasmed.]

I think we'll know pretty quickly if I'm underestimating myself.

Tame, but enough to actually pose some level of threat. I'm not certain a kitten would do the job.

[He looks between the two of them before he nods.]

Very well. [ he moves forward into the room, and raises a hand parallel to it, closing his eyes as he begins chanting. a sigil appears on the ground, glowing orange, and then within it there's an insectile chittering noise, and the sound of hundreds of legs hitting the floor, as a monstrous centipede unfolds there, almost as long as a horse. ]

A shitty will save has him looking at Tia like...THIS IS TAME!? Before he tries to gather his fucking concentration (23).

He holds a hand out, squinting at the hideous thing, and attempts a Mind Thrust.]

[Boom, 8 damage. Nothing like a little casual brain melting to start things off, it's fine.]

[ that sends it really wildly, and it barely manages to get itself together to skitter towards him and try to bite him (atk 8) ]

[The creature's attack is slow, and Sam easily moves out of the way, keeping his eyes fixated on it as he repeats the attack, trying to put some more power behind it.

Dmg 15, Will DC 15 negates.]

They only started manifesting a couple years ago. I'm just...trying to get some kind of handle on them. And since no one can actually look into my mind, apparently, it's been kind of a crapshoot.

Whatever's going on with him... it's something I've never felt before.
