I believe Swan used the word monster - and implied the way Henry turned out had nothing to do with the way I raised him.

[He flinches, because... yeah he can see Emma saying that. And he can see Regina taking it poorly.]

She's wrong. [He says simply.] As much as you've made mistakes- and there have been a lot of mistakes. When it comes to Henry, anyone can see that you loved him from the first time you laid eyes on him.

It's almost difficult to imagine.

He's got a big heart, and growing up with you played a big part in that.

Why did you think you didn't deserve a second chance?

I wasn't around. Didn't even know he existed until he showed up at my place in New York. But even if I had? I don't know if I can say that I would have made it right on my own. Running was easier. It was all I knew for a long time.

It's kind of a long story. I...had to leave. Or I thought I did. I didn't know Emma was pregnant at the time. But it doesn't change the fact that I left them when they needed me.

She was on her own, [And in prison but he's not going to drop that one] so she put him up for adoption, which is where you came in.

I owe you a lot for taking care of him like you did, for loving him and giving him what I couldn't because I got scared.

For starters, I'm about three hundred years old. [No big, right? Actually in this world it's not as big of a deal, I guess.] Son of the Dark One. Spent way too much time in Neverland for my liking.
