[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions: Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask! Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. WE ARE BIG ON THREAD-JACKING HERE. [So, as promised, after things with Nyna and the missions have died down, David follows through in going to the ball game with Stiles. It's the White Sox vs. Detroit Tigers and also happens to be a nice, warm afternoon game to boot. The Sox are going to lose 4-1, but it's still a nice day for a baseball game anyway.

After loading up on snacks, they settle into their seats and David leans back with a sigh.]

Fair warning - I haven't been to a Sox game since I was a kid, so I have no idea who's good anymore.

We'll find out. Plus, you know who the real winners will be? These two guys here, because Chicago hot dogs are in our future.

[One day your stomach won't be like a garbage disposal, Stiles. Today is not that day.]

[He laughs at that before nodding in agreement.]

Absolutely. I remember the hot pretzels being really good too.

Hell yeah. And you can have a beer for me since I can't.

[He smirks.]

Deal. Though if my memory serves, the beer here is pretty crappy.

It'll just make the hot dog taste better.

So it's just good enough to be paired with the hot dogs here, and that's about it?

Guess so.

[And he sighs as he leans back in the seats.]

Man, I have been here since I was an actual kid.

[Not just a kid at heart, or a kid in reference to someone else.]

Time to get back to your roots, man.

[He nods slowly as he looks out over the game.]

I guess it is. It's nice for that to actually mean something normal for a change instead of dealing with gods throwing temper tantrums.

Fingers crossed. Just like I'm hoping the 7th inning stretch doesn't get interrupted by crazy werewolf attacks or something.

[His eyebrow goes up a bit as he glances up to him, then glancing up at the sun above them.]

In the middle of the day?

[Apparently in David's Everworld adventures, he didn't meet a lot of werewolves (knowledge mythology 11).]

Yeah, that full moon stuff isn't always legit. I mean, I think it sometimes it. Sort of depends on the wolf.

[He considers before giving a small shrug.]

We didn't really have those in Everworld. The closest thing we had to a werewolf was Fenrir.

Isn't that like... THE wolf?

Yeah, pretty much. He was Loki's son, and he was just ... a wolf the size of a double decker bus. He was ... more than a little terrifying.

Yikes. Yeah, I imagine that would be intimidating. You ever have to fight him?

We ran like hell.

[He's not ashamed to admit that either. They were sixteen years-old and terrified, anyone would have.]

Someone did try and fight him, though. Took an armory's worth of machine guns to take him down.

Ouch. Fingers crossed that we never have to try that one out here, huh?

I would be very comfortable without having to fight a god ever again.

[Even though he knows that that probably isn't going to happen. With the way the quest to free Amara is heading he wouldn't be surprised if he wound up face to face with Poseidon or Mystra at some point.]

I would be okay if I never had to do it for the first time.

I hope you never have to. Really. They are a pain in the ass.

I bet. [Just then he gets distracted by the crowd going crazy, as someone gets a super good hit. Yay sportsball. Stiles snaps his attention to the game and sits up straighter.]

Go, go, go!

[Yep, boys easily distracted by baseball and David is cheering along with him, inching up to the edge of his seat so he can see better.]
