[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.  This takes place after the Knights have returned from rescuing Gar in New York City, but before the planned Keijen Blade concert at the beginning of 2017.

[ what happens when a fighty scottish amazon finds out she's married to an actual literal roman centurian in the future? she forces him to teach her to swordfight, it's basically foreplay. which is why amy can be found in the training room putting rory's lessons to work while he's off being a useful member of society or something. she happens to be wearing a green flannel shirt so there is some serious highlander shit happening as she stabs at the practice dummy. ]

[And Rory's totally been hanging out in the doorway, watching her with a soft smile. She may not remember their relationship, but he's still very clearly in love with her, if that was not at all obvious before.]

What are you doin' here, I-- oh! [ she looks down at her watch and frowns, she is late. she is so late that rory found her and watched her for however long and she didn't realize. whoops. ] Sorry, lost track of time. You didn't have a reservation, did you?

[He smirks a bit at that, before shaking his head.]

No, I know better. Or when I do, it's usually an hour later than when I actually tell you.

[Probably shouldn't tell her that, but he can always adjust his approach later if she actually remembers he said it.]

What?! [ she looks Offended (but not really). she's more startled rory is so sneaky to have played her like that. clever boy. ]

I've still got to shower, how long have I actually got?

[Yes, well, you learn certain habits when you've been with someone for a long time. He smirks back at her, before glancing down at his watch.]

'Bout forty-five minutes, give or take.

You're gonna need to make another reservation, Williams, [ she notes, patting his shoulder fondly with her left hand. where she is still wearing her engagement ring because she still can't bear to take it off. which is weird! ]

[It may be weird for her, but he still likes seeing her wear it. he smirks slightly at the suggestion, before nodding.]

I'll call the restaurant.

Let me shower, I'll meet you in the garage?

[ she'd ask to drive but she knows better. she knows. she might have forgotten loads, but she knows she's a terrible driver and rory won't hesitate to remind her that she's a terrible driver. ]

[ it takes amy about a half hour to meet him (sorry) but at least she didn't take the time to dry her hair so she wasn't dawdling that much. her hair is piled into a mess of a bun on top of her head as a result but it is what it is. ]

[He smiles when he sees her and nods.]

Good.

[He'll offer her his arm.]

Shall we?

[ amy takes his arm with a soft smile, excessively fond and affectionate. ]

We shall. Where are you taking me anyway?

New place I found. It's a surprise.

[And that's all he'll say about that until they get there. And it's not an actual place, it's more of a picnic, because why eat indoors when it's a rare day of good weather in England.]

[He takes a deep breath as he considers.]

Maybe. Though it's not really that complicated.

[He nods, before giving the simplest hint he can.]

What, like a picnic? [ amy does love a good picnic and she smiles at the idea of one. ]

[Of course she manages to catch it out of the gate.]

We're having a picnic? [ he's driving so he only have gets to watch amy's expression melt into a smile. a picnic is a good date, she is here for this. ] Well done, Mr Williams.

[He smiles a bit in return. He'd hoped she'd like that.]

I figured it was a rare nice day in London. Might as well take advantage of it while we could.

Is this how you wooed me the first time? Romantic picnics for two? [ she doesn't normally ask for stories of the two of them because it makes her feel odd that she can't remember, but maybe she wants to hear a love story where she and rory are the stars. ]

[He laughs a bit at that.]

Sometimes, yeah. Wasn't particularly good at it in the beginning though. Mels had to practically beat you over the head with it.

[Such a good best friend that he doesn't remember was their daughter.]

Did she? [ amy smiles wider, but then her face falls. ] I don't remember that, just bucking her out of trouble every single day. God, she was a menace.
