[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

[ when faye makes her way to the round table room, she'd hear voices at the end of the hall, in the large circular chamber. one is certainly wynn, and the other unmistakably christos. all she'd manage to catch is the former saying "--whatever is necessary, although as always, I respect your judgment on the matter." as she enters, the conversation halts, wynn smoothly looking over christos' shoulder towards faye, and the drow casting an irritated glance back to see who's interrupting. ]

[Faye slips into the room, not giving a single fuck as to what she's interrupting because frankly her news is more important. She's a disgusting sight- and probably smell, as well.]

Sorry to interrupt-- [ha she's not that sorry. Flashing Christos an insincere smile, she focuses her attention on Wynn.] -but I found something on my mission that I think you might be interested in keeping tabs on.

It's quite alright. Sir La Krail and I were just finishing. [ he nods to christos like DID YOU HEAR THAT. WE ARE FINISHING. christos looks disgruntled but that's sort of his perma state sooo

either way, he stalks past her, casting a look back at them obviously burning with curiosity ]

[Faye not-so-discretely looks over her shoulder to see Christos lingering and decides to throw his curiosity a bone. Okay, so she's mostly trying to prove that she's worth more than he likely thinks based on his experience with her on missions. But either way, she strides up towards Wynn and says in her most serious tone:]

What would you say if I told you I knew the location of the tarrasque?

The tarrasque. [ he repeats the word with some surprise, one eyebrow lifting slightly ] I would wonder where you might have procured such information.

About 12 hours ago, I was standing on its tongue, so. [Being smug about it is the only way to avoid being traumatized right now.] I guess you could call it firsthand.

That's where the surge of wild magic sent you?

No, I climbed in because it looked fun.

[She'll be less sassy after a shower and a nap. Maybe.]

[ if he's bothered, he doesn't show it ] Slumbering, I presume, in its hibernation state. Where?

Cuba, apparently. A little cave near a waterfall. It's actually gorgeous there, if you ignore the terrifying creature sleeping under your feet.

And you could find this cave again?

If Hasmed can back track the teleportation spell? I can get you back to the cave entrance.

We'll need to give the matter some serious consideration. Waking the tarrasque could prove more hazardous than his mere existence.

He's a really heavy sleeper, for what it's worth. Thank fucking god.

But yeah- just figured you might want to know.

It's certainly appreciated. I feel I should ask, however, how you're faring after such an experience.

Please tell me the mission was at least a success.

The source of the magical shutdown appears to have been the facility you infiltrated, and the unit known as LIES. With its destruction, the town has been restored to normal, and perhaps some headway lost in Luckman's research.

But does it help us at all with the whole Amara thing?

[Was that actually part of the mission, or just Emma's personal mission? I and Faye both cannot remember. Oh well.]

[ personal mission, rly ] Unfortunately, the unit didn't seem able to dispel magical effects so much as change what was being cast at the time. Considering that the curse is already in place...

Great. Well, if you find any leads on that, keep me in mind. I'd like to help out.
