[insert name plaque that says: CHERYL]

[Merry ThanksgivingMas! That's right, you're all off desk duty, because you have the BEST receptionist this side of the veil working for you?? Don't mind the ocelot... it might have wandered off at some point. She doesn't really pay attention to the thing. Ugh, don't yell at her!!

Also, if no one is at the desk when you get here... assume she's sleeping. Or lost. Or kidnapped. Or... looking for more rubber cement. Feel free to fill in for her.

During these two months, you can find her doing one of the following things while she waits for something to do:

i. drinking rubber cement
ii. watching an obnoxious video on youtube
iii. laying on the desk and staring at the ceiling
iv. leave a blank reply and I'll roll for something... /evil cackle]

[It's the smell that Faye notices first when she walks by. She's never really been all that arts-and-crafty so she's not super familiar with rubber cement, but it stinks.

Then she sees the girl at the desk chugging something out of a bottle.]

What is that smell?

[receptionist]

[Cheryl puts the container down, the metal making a clink sound as it hits the desk.]

Can I help you?

[reallywicked]

Uh, maybe? Who the hell are you anyway? [Faye makes it her job to keep tabs on the newbies. She has not seen this one, though.]

[receptionist]

[With a raised eyebrow, she points to the nameplate that proudly displays her name.]

Shhh-air-uhl. [Phonetics!]

[reallywicked]

[She rolls her eyes.] Okay, but why the hell do you have a nameplate? Pretty sure I never had one when Wynn made me work this stupid desk.

[receptionist]

Uh, duh? It wasn't your job. [Even though it's not a question, her tone makes it seem like it was.]

You were just filling in until they hired me.

[reallywicked]

...are you a squire or a fucking secretary?

[receptionist]

You're not my supervisor!!

[reallywicked]

[She takes a step back and just gives her a look like wow this bitch has lost her mind.]

[receptionist]

[She be crazy.]

[reallywicked]

[yeahhhh just gonna keep backing away and leave. she'll probably ask around about this crazy bitch.]

[Cora is the animal whisperer, and when she spots a previously unrecognized ocelot wandering around, she feels the need to find out who it belongs to. Despite her canine nature, she managed to woo it enough to get it to come to her (handle animal 12), so this is Cora, coming up to the front desk large feline in her arms.]

Is he yours?

[receptionist]

Ugh!! [She glances to behind her where the kid-gate she'd assembled has been promptly destroyed.]

That little mongrel never stays put!!

[impetere]

Well ... he's a cat.

[Just to point out the obvious.]

They tend to not do commands. Maybe you should have gotten a dog?

[receptionist]

[Cheryl laughs.] Oh, he'd probably eat a dog.

[impetere]

[Cora ... blinks at her for a moment, before moving to set Babou down on top of the receptionist's desk, since she had done her due diligence of returning the ocelot to his owner.]

I meant instead of the ocelot.

[receptionist]

Uhhh... why would I want a dog instead of an ocelot?

[impetere]

[Cora eyes her skeptically for a moment, before hazarding a guess (sense motive 15).]

You don't seem to like the ocelot very much?

[receptionist]

Why would I like the ocelot? He gets sick all the time and he's aggressive.

[impetere]

[She blinks.]

If you didn't like them, then why did you get one?

[receptionist]

Because I was bored? [duh.]

[impetere]

[She's beginning to regret giving him back to you. She's just saying. She squints at her for a moment.]

I suddenly don't blame him for running away from you.

[receptionist]

He doesn't run away he's free range. I just let him wander.
