Pussy. [ huffing, she crosses her arms because he's right, it is cold out here ] You better at least drive really fast, then. [ and click the button on those keys to locate the correct car ]

[And click the button he does, the lights on a land rover flashing just a few cars down from where they are. He heads that way, opening her door for her, then coming around to the drivers side.] Just get in the car. And buckle in!

[ fuck you jordan. you're not her boss. she watches him round the car and park himself in the driver's seat, buckling her seat belt just to hurry things along, not because he told her to :|

then she's gonna fiddle with the radio so dwi ] Soooo... what's new? Or old. Really, you could tell me old news and I might not even know the difference.

[He buckles in as well, starting the car with a smooth rumble and pulling it around to the garage door, waiting for it to lift. He lifts his shoulder in a shrug, eyes locked on the hood of the car.]

Oh, not a whole lot. I've gotten more written in my book! [Yes, he finds that exciting.] Other than that I've just been hanging out. [But with who, Jordan? With who??]

[ nat 20 wisdom check, so fuck you again jordan x( ] Don't you have, like, a brand new girlfriend, or some shit? How the hell do you still have time to write a book?!

[ and then she fixes him with a look akin to pity, but more along the lines of understanding ] She's boring, huh? I figured as much when you said you two weren't having sex. I mean, really, what's the point? [ true romantic, this one ]

[His eyes widen, jaw falling open in protest. Of course out of all the things that his sister would remember, his "girlfriend" would be one of them.]

Y-yeah, Faye and I are a thing. [He scratches the back of his head, driving the car out of the garage and down the long drive to the main road (Drive: 22). He scrambles for something to say that wouldn't peak her interest so much that she would try to pry.] And just because we aren't having sex all the time doesn't mean that she's boring. We have time for other things than each other!

[S-so defensive Jordan.]

Yeah, well, that's cool, I guess. [ but don't forget how curious she is by nature, sir ] But if everything's cool, why are you so defensive about it?

Well, I mean- [he stops, scrambling again for words.] -I mean, the last time you were asking me about her like I was being interrogated by the CIA. I've been getting a lot of that lately, since we started... dating. And I guess I'm just... a bit defensive of... us.

[ (Bluff: 9?) He's not exactly lying, but he sure isn't telling the whole truth and he is really bad at hiding it.]

[ well, i rolled a 9 for her sense motive, but that has to be at least a 10, ok. so she's still eyeing him suspiciously. but out of respect for her brother, she'll take a more casual approach to thing this time. ] Well, what's she like? How'd you guys meet?

[That's funny because he is eyeing her suspiciously. But he'll answer her questions, hoping that she'll find a new topic soon.]

Oh, Faye's great. [He says it quickly, automatically. He clears his throat, stepping on the accelerator.]

We met on our mission on Andres, actually, and kinda just hit it off.

She's great? That's all ya got? I mean, even I can usually remember a few more facts about the people I get "intimate" with.

[ you're not threatening, jordan, so stop trying RIGHT THE FUCK NOW because fiona doesn't like this side of you. she crosses her arms, becoming defensive, herself. ] You couldn't start with, like, I don't know, what kind of music she likes, or what sect she's in? Gotta jump right to defensive again?

[He sighs, knowing that he is being a jackass, but he honest to goodness has no idea how to get around this topic without alerting Fiona to the fact that something is very wrong in their "relationship". But neither could he push Fiona away, nor would he want to.]

I'm sorry. [It's said in a sullen voice, but he really is sorry.] I'm being a jackass. It's just kinda hard for me to talk about her when she's not around. [like, quite literally there are things he flat out can't say or talk about.]

She's really into pop music-[He really doesn't fucking know (Bluff: 10)]- and she's in the Dragons Fire. She's great. [It comes out again before he can stop it and he clears his throat, eyes glued to the road. Anytime anyone asked him about Faye, what she was like, anything, her commands took control and all he could really say was "She's great." And it was getting old.]

I'm in the Dragon's Fire. [ she says, like this is some kind of grand revelation ] And I like music. All kinds. You should introduce us.

[ despite her apparent eagerness to be optimistic about his new relationship, she is still leery about why he's acting so weird (sense motive 15) ] You know, I would have thought you'd be some love-sick weirdo when you finally shacked up with someone. Like, super annoyingly chipper or something.

[Oh dear god no, abort, abort!! He never wants to introduce them to each other. It was bad enough that Faith and Faye had interacted, but if Fiona and Faye spent time together his whole head might explode. But then she kinda skims over that and he breaths a sigh of relief.

Her observation about his lack of enthusiasm for his new "relationship" hits him hard because he knows she is right. His face falls into sad lines, unable to keep the gloom out of his voice. ] Yeah, I kinda thought so too. I guess it's more... grounded me than anything. Reality is never the same as fiction.

Uh, that is so not true! [ and she sounds kinda pissed that he would suggest as much ] Why would something new and exciting "ground you", exactly?

Well, I mean, she's just made me... really appreciate the reality of our situation instead of fantasizing what it would be like. [How's that for some bullshit answer? And technically it's true, he's just not being clear what exactly their situation is. And his bluff was a 23 this time! Almost the highest he can get, be proud.]

[He looks startled that she didn't believe him, mouth flapping for a moment before he can answer. He had never lied as well before! How did it all go wrong?!]

What do you mean, bullshit? It's the truth![Oh look, they're pulling onto the main road into London...]

Well, even if it was the truth - which it's not - it's still bullshit. [ she crosses her arms, turning to stare out her window ]

I-I'm sorry Fiona, I just r-really c-can't- [-and that is all the further he gets, hand going to his throat as he swallows deeply three or four times, shaking his head. That is never fun. ]

[ her head snaps back his way, ready to chew him out again, but when she actually sees his reaction, the words stop in her throat. with a 16 wisdom check and a 35 spellcraft, fiona knows enough to realize this isn't some spell. at least not one she's ever encountered.

maybe it's a love potion? those are a thing, right? but then wouldn't he be overly infatuated? also, seems like he'd be pretty resistant to such enchantments. after a moment of musing, she just decides to ask. ] Hey! What's wrong with your throat?

[He coughs, shaking his head before he answers her.]

Nothing, I just had a tickle in my throat, that's all. [Bluff: 21! He totally avoids her eyes though, navigating slower through the city streets.]
