[ a laugh bubbles up as she drops the swing onto her foot and gives it a little kick, the chain bouncing up and whipping out to wrap around the sword, and yank it out of bambi's grasp. a la this bitch. (disarm 18, bambi get an aoo? if she wants it.) ]

[SHE WASN'T REALLY EXPECTING THAT, OKAY, so she just drops the sword with a yelp, and then looks from it to the chain to the sword.]

[ with another quick tug, the chain whips back and she catches it neatly. (dex 20 total) damn impressive rolls for a bb level one tbh. ]

[They're both really great at this. She moves down, eyeing each weapon.] I feel like it's there. I just have to hear it speak to me... Purely metaphorically. If one of these swords talks to me, I'm gonna fucking run out that door.

My dad has a flag pin with a camera, like the Italian Job. He doesn't ever actually use it, but it sits on his desk to remind people that he has it. [ she rolls her eyes with good natured humor. dads, tbh. ]

Well, my dad is a cop in Ipswich. [ her dad is chief brody. ] It isn't a hotbed of moral turpitude, but they did have a shark attack on Plum Island once.

Oh hey, Amish people! We took a vacation there once. It turned out to be exactly like Plimouth Plantation so Dad cheaped out and just kept taking us to the rock. Like ooh, look at the rock Alice Cooper, it's so exciting and neat, just like the first twelve times you saw it.

Amish people and people who get really, really intense about history. I never want to hear another word about Ben Franklin ever again. [she makes a face.] I always wanted to go to Boston.

We really love Ben Franklin in Boston, too. But that love is usually trumped by the Adamses. [ 'cause beer tbh. ] The city is awesome though. And there's nowhere else you can use "walked the freedom trail" as a euphemism.

Also St. Patrick's Day. I'm not even Irish. I just want to live in Boondock Saints for one hot minute. Doesn't everyone?

Willem Defoe basically ruined me in the best way for opera, but yeah, that's pretty spot on for the neighborhood I grew up in. Southie is wicked stereotypically Boston, we just grew up on the nice side. Near a Dunkin.
