Oh. [ her eyes widen a little, but it only piques her interest because personal things happening to will, what???? ]

[ummm that was all he was gonna say. time to eat food. mmm this thxgiving food he got from the kitchen so good.]

[ she decides not to push, also deciding she doesn't really want to know. knowing he occasionally "dates" alice is enough for her, frankly. so they eat in silence for a while until... ]

Did you see the giant dog?

Which giant dog was this?

Don Henley.

[ there is only one don henley at the castle, of this she is sure. ]

Oh! That Henley. Yeah, I remember him.

He's huge. I didn't know they made dogs that big.

Oh, yeah, they do. Too bad the physiology's all wrong for riding, or she could ride him into combat.

[ please hold while she imagines tiny paige riding a dog beast into battle. ]

That would be so dangerous for Henley. Unless they made dog armor.

Were you not listening? Dogs aren't built that way. They aren't load-bearing. Henley could really hurt his back.

But if they were.

If they were, there would probably be dog armor, and I would be the first one riding a dog into combat.

[ that makes her grin. ]

Lemon would be a noble steed. [ she reaches over to pet one of the other dogs because lemon is probably being a daddy's boy still. ]

You think? [he looks down at lemon, who is in fact being a daddy's boy and laying right next to him, and rubs his head.] What do you think, Lemon? Could you be a noble steed? [lemon's response is to make a tiny yap noise.]

I think that's a yes. [ dipping another piece of turkey in her mashed potatoes, she looks at all the poor dogs not partaking in their feast. ]

Can we give them turkey or is that not canine friendly? I know they would eat it anyway, but...

I think it'll be fine. Just don't give them any bones.

[ with a nod, she carefully tears up some white meat and becomes the pied piper for puppies. you get some turkey, you get some turkey, EVERYBODY GETS A HUMPBACK WHALE. and some turkey. the dogs, naturally, love her. this is the best. much giggles and yips and tails wagging. ]
