[true to his word, about an hour later he rolls up at the agreed upon nando's and beelines across the restaurant for her (the blue hair makes her hard to miss, ok), dropping down to sit in the seat across from her.] Miss Epiphany. You're a vision.

[ she's hanging out on her laptop when he shows up, but closes it as he approaches. ] God, I hope not. If you're just hallucinating, this little rendezvous isn't gonna end well.

[he laughs and shrugs.] There's worse shit I could hallucinate. How's kicks?

Oh you know. Daddy calls, I have to come running before he self-destructs. It's a burden, but what do you do.

[that gets an eyebrow raise out of him.] Self-destructs?

Makes terrible choices. I mean, he does that anyway, but when he actually reaches out, I know he's on the verge of something truly awful.

That sucks. I get it, kind of. My mom had a lot of mental issues, it was ... kind of a messy home situation.

Guess it's a wonder we both turned out so charming and able to fake being well adjusted.

Doesn't mean I don't like to hear it from other people every now and then. [and then he flags down a waitress because he's not going to a restaurant to not eat ok and orders some fuckin chicken.]

[ she orders sparsely, but also goes for the chicken, and a dr. pepper. she graciously waits for the waiter to leave before saying: ] So, run into any legendary Norse gods lately?

No, which is a shame. I still dream about him. [that's one way to admit to ur fwb that you're kind of gay i guess] Thor, not the greasy one.

Do you? I won't judge you if they're not as lofty as fucking a Norse god. I'm an ambitionist.

Maybe my ambition is just to join in on that party.

There's gotta be something that's catnip for gods.

I know, right? You would think. My only plan so far is to go out with a kite in a lightning storm like Ben Franklin.

Maybe if we're blasphemous enough, they'll come calling personally to give us a talking to.

You got any ideas about how we should accomplish that?

Well, I mean, the Vikings probably found totally different stuff blasphemous than we do. Considering pillage and rape was the standard Friday night, we might have to really reach for it.

[he pulls out his phone to google it and...] All I'm finding is shit people don't like about the show Vikings. [hmph.]
