[She smirks a bit, dropping the subject of Gus entirely and focusing on her instead. It's a much easier topic to talk about.]

About ten years now?

[Her brows shoot up, impressed.] Ten years huh? That's impressive. Are ye based much here in London?

[She nods.]

Usually, yeah, but I'm in and out a lot. Prior to Andres I was on a six month mission chasing an akhlut.

[attollores]

[Her eyes light up at that, mouth dropping a bit in awe. She definitely knows what an akhlut is (Arcane Lore: 28)] An Akhlut? Really?? That's amazing! Did ye find it? How big was it? What form did it take?

[Malina, here is Alainn. Alainn is like a child when it comes to the Arcane. Enjoy her childlike wonder.]

[Well that works out well for you, Alainn, because her creature feature missions are her favorite to talk about.]

It was huge.

[She holds out her arms to indicate, but it's not really adequate at all.]

Had to be at least 30 feet long in it's orca form. It spent most of the time in the water that way, unless it decided it wanted to go snacking on poor innocent eskimos - that's when we got treated to it's big bad wolf side. Honestly, if had just stuck to seals like a normal killer whale, we never would have even known it was there.

[And then she wouldn't have had to set it on fire. :(]

[Yeah, she is just fascinated, eyes lighting with awe as Malina talks.] I've always wanted to see one, I'm so bummed I didn't get to go on that mission! Oh, it must've been thrilling to see it in it's wolf form though, huh?

Oh yeah. Really thrilling. Right up until it started eating poor, sweet little Eskimos and then it shifted to kill it with fire.

[Yeah, that cuts her enthusiasm down quite a bit] Ach, yer right, that's awful. Those poor people are lucky ye were there for them, then.

[She nods a bit.]

And now they can sleep soundly knowing that - at least for now - they won't be eaten by a wolfwhale.

[Which is pretty horrifying.]

Though I'm sure if you've been here long enough, you've had a few fun ones in the past.

Oh, aye I've had plenty of good missions in the past. There was this one involving Yuan'ti in Japan that was crazy! Only problem was they were eatin' people...

See, why does "eating people" always have to be the theme for these things? Why can't there be a nice mission with friendly, harmless bunnies or something?

Thank you! I know, would it be too much to ask for a nice, simple, non-bloody mission? Apparently human flesh is becoming less of a delicacy and more of an all you can eat buffet for different monsters out there... [shudder]

[She shudders a bit herself. Ugh.]

Just once, I'd like a mission where the monster is something we can take home as a pet.

[Or, you know, they can leave out in the wild to fend for itself, but still. The sentiment still stands.]
