[he knows what's going down but is too slow to stop the force of her fury aka his opposed roll was lower than hers, so down he goes.]

[ so she basically sits on his chest like haha success! and drapes the rapier across her shoulders like fucking lancelot. ]

[he rolls his eyes.] Yeah, yeah, we'll get you a fuckin' medal.

[ leaning down, she kisses his forehead before swinging her leg off him and reaching down to help him up. ]

[he doesn't actually say whatever, but that's what his face seems to say as he gets back up.] Uh-huh. Round two?

Bring it on, starshine. I'll even go right handed.

[ she's ambidextrous when it comes to weapons and she watched the princess bride recently. don't judge. ]

[ambitionist]

Whatever floats your boat. [he goes to pick up his katana from where it fell, still choosing to wield it two handed. MORE HANDS EQUALS MORE POWER, LILA.]

[bittersweeter]

[ JAB! it misses and her tongue pokes between her teeth in concentration. right handed is hard. how do right handed people do it. ]

[ambitionist]

[ his first slash is so off it's like on mars somewhere (atk 5), but he manages to rein it in a little on his second attack (12) still not good enough to hit her, though.]

[bittersweeter]

[ her next strike only just misses, so close (atk 18), it goes right between his arm and torso and she makes a frustrated noise as she pulls it back. at least she's just as capable with her right hand, that's so mollifying. ]

[ambitionist]

[he swipes JUST PAST HER SO FUCKIN CLOSE (atk 17) and now he is pissed too. so pissed it makes him worse i guess. (13) THEY'RE JUST TOO GOOD. or ... too bad.]

[bittersweeter]

[ with another semi-near miss (atk 13), she takes the chance to switch back to her left hand. ]

[ambitionist]

Quitter. [with a little smirk, he manages to crit on her awwww yeah (atk 21 after penalties) and then ... crits again. which would only be atk 16 after penalities but it's still a crit, so. he is just pwning her ass.]

[bittersweeter]

[ she grits her teeth and cheats, quite frankly, forgoing the sword to kick him in the shins.

with a nat 20. GO FIGURE.

while she is a graceless winner, she's really bad at losing too. ]

[ambitionist]

[and he ... hops around like that will make him feel better. jk it only makes him look stupid.] Ow! Hey!

[ epitome of the kanyeshrug, she strikes while he's hopping around, but he's wiggling to much so she misses again. (atk 16) ]

I'm sorry, I didn't know I was supposed to be taking it easy on you.

[ such a brat. ]

[and then he makes an attempt to disarm her, dodging the weird flailing attempt she makes at him and successfully sending her rapier flying onto the ground. (23 vs 18)] Whatever.

[ her first instinct is to knock him out, but it's alex and she won't do that. she can't trip him again because he's holding the weapon. so she leaps back with her hella cat grace and uses mage hand to zoom the rapier back into her grip. ]

Okay, that was smart.

I have my moments. [his moments are not rn, however, as he tries to get back into the swing of striking at her and his attack rolls are like wtf. (6 and 4 lmfao...)]

I believe in you. [ poke! she misses, ofc. (atk 10) ] You said you impressed the knights and they brought you in. That's way more impressive knowing it was Eric and he's nearly impossible to amaze.

[ambitionist]

Yeah? Maybe he had a crush on me. [he grins and waggles his eyebrows before making some more wide, lazy strikes at her (11 and 5)]

[bittersweeter]

[ her grip on the sword slackens and she doesn't even bat at alex with it, just lifts it before she lets it drop. (atk 2) ]

Oh my god. What if he did? I wonder if he's gay. One in ten, you can't be the only one here. And you're only sometimes gay.

[it's pretty clear that he's just waving his sword around while talking at this point (11 and 13)] He seems repressed, right? There's this whole repression vibe around him. Those are the ones that end up turning into slutty little butterflies.

I have to know. [ she drops the rapier because fuck this and dart over to the bench to grab her phone and AGGRESSIVELY TEXTS ERIC.

but then doesn't press send, erasing it quickly and rewording it and then erasing it again. ]
