Oh! Well that's good. [ such relief, but wait. ] What's an X-Man?

Almost like a Knight, but from my world. All of us were considered mutants, because we have abilities other people don't.

Like psions and mages?

Some of 'em. Our mutations are all different.

[ she mouths 'mutations' like it will help her brain reconcile it. ]

Isn't that just... people? [ everyone is different, she's not grasping how different even after seeing logan's claws up close and personal. ]

We can do things normal people can't. You have to get that what was done to you made you different than everybody else.

Okay. [ mrrrh this existential stuff is hard, man. ] So, I was made this way and people with mutations were born that way, but they're different from people people because they can do extra stuff?

They're not more people than us.

I'm part cat, they're probably more people than me.

More human maybe.

Oh. I think I get it. People and human is different.

Yeah. All of us are people. We want pretty much the same thing. We just have different ways of getting it.
