There is no sadness in her gaze as she looks at him again, a small smile on her mouth as she leans forward and kisses his cheek gently. She takes a step backwards as she draws away, smile still in place.] I know ye are, Mark. I'm sorry too. But ye have to do what ye have to do.

[She hauls the basket up to her hip, her chin lifted proudly as she says-] I love ye, Marcus Andres. No matter what happens, I want ye to remember that.

[ he gets caught up in staring at her for another moment, before he can't help himself and reaches out to stroke her jaw briefly with one hand ] I love you too. No matter what.

[She presses a soft kiss to his palm, her hand brushing over his soft and brief.]

I'll keep in touch. [And she's backing up a few more steps to take her leave.]

[To her credit she only looks back a few times, but when she is certain that he is walking away as well then she would just keep going, not wanting to draw out their goodbye longer than necessary. And she really needed to go cry into her soup or something.
