I have! When I used to go in the field, that's what I usually used.

[Not that Sweets did much fighting because he's ... well, a shrink, not a barbarian.]

I just ... think swords are really cool.

[Because he's a nerd, basically.]

And I like to learn stuff, so learning how to use one is another thing I can cross off the ol' bucket list, you know?

[He smiles, nodding.] Yeah, I get it. And swords are totally cool. C'mon, lets keep going.

[And he will give him more pointers with a 19 Int check to help Sweets out (I don't even know if that is the appropriate check to make??)]

[I haven't the foggiest clue either so we're just going to go with it! And Sweets will just soak it all up like a sponge and learn stuff! Or something.

Unfortunately it doesn't show because the dice hate him and he manages to make the most awful swing yet (attack ... 0).]

... Maybe I should just stick with the gun. Or ... you know, to my office.

[Not normally a defeatist, it takes him a minute of internal debate while he tries to think of an encouraging way to convince Sweets to keep trying. But he really seemed to be a danger with his sword, not only to himself, but to others who happen to be in the vicinity.

After a moment he chuckles, scratching the back of his head as he nods.] Yeah, that might be for the best. But we can continue to practice frequently if you want to?

Sure. Yeah, that'd be great.

[He's not completely incompetent, he just needs practice. And some proper training. Once he has that, he could probably get pretty good.]

Like, once a week or something?

I'm totally up for that. [He sticks his hand out to Sweets, flicking his wrist as his scimitar disappears once more.]

[He grins at Sweets' declaration that something he did was actually cool. He shakes his hand firmly, nodding.]

Hey, anytime man. I'm just glad to be of help to someone, it'll give me something to do in between missions. And it'll add a little normalcy to life, I think.

Normalcy is very important. Gives you time to decompress so that life isn't all extreme missions all the time.
