[ it's teasing, she figures, and meant in jest, but it doesn't stop her from smiling widely. the idea of someone basically offering a place to belong, with tips!, is heartwarming, especially now when she feels like a lost balloon. ]

Way I see it, Luthir was all but kin t'me, so that makes you the same. If you'll have a dwarf cousin, that is.

And no one tells stories better than a dwarf. Or makes better toys for that better. Her uncle Dovan will spoil her right through.

I'm imagining an entire wooden menagerie a la Noah's Ark...

Well in that case, there is a tree called the Sweetgum? It's wood is silver. [ it's actually greyish-tan or greyish-blue depending on the sealant, but she's making a point here with her random fucking tree knowledge. silver dragons, please. ]

Nothing else would do.

[ preens in delight. dovan is such a good for her mental health and feeling like she isn't alone. ]

Were dragons really on the Ark? [ like elves and shit are real here? who is to say that bible shenans weren't real, too? ]

I don't know about all that. If they were red, they might have eaten all the other animals right up!

They can fly, right? Maybe they didn't go on the Ark, like the birds. Or, I dunno, I figure God would have had some way to work that out, being infallible and all.

[ nbd, talking about god and dragons. ]

Don't ask me. Never knew much about the god in question.

I've been looking in to a bunch. Elven ones, human ones, there's like a ton. But I watched the Jesus movie a couple weeks ago so I think I got Christianity down pat.

I get leery of any religion that insists you claim all the other ones can't be real.

[graveflowers]

A lot of the Abrahamic ones are like that, monotheistic. Old religions like Greek and Roman, Egyptian, Faerûnian, Hinduism and Buddhism... they're all pantheistic -- you can't say another god isn't real when you're both gods. [ a beat. ] I mean, you can. I'm sure some of them have, but that's 'cause gods are like five year olds.

All seems unnecessary to me. Don't see why a man can't his own gods and someone else theirs.
