Last April, a kindly book seller and purveyor of magical lore found himself the victim of an attack via mail when dangerous magical creatures were sent to his shop from the untraceable sender "PTC".  Since then, Wynn's been tracking the mail system, waiting for that name to pop up again, in case it might lead them to find out who was behind the first attack, and stop any other disasters from occurring.  Recently, something popped up on the radar, so the Knights have to find a way into the exclusive restaurant the Spider's Web in Manchester, or its attached nightclub The Lagoon Club.

Whelp. Nothing left to do but see if she can spot a bus boy and lure him over here. (spot 19) Casually adjusts her cleavage. Oh wait. She's dressed terribly and probably looks like a fourteen year old boy. I don't know what she expects to do when she finds one, but SHE IS LOOKING]

[Phineas emerges from the bathroom after a few moments. He made the executive decision to go for Disguise Self over Invisibility (After noticing he can only be invisible for 2 rounds at this level, whoops) The good news is he is disguised as club staff, with a Disguise check of 29, and a 21 Bluff to act the part.]

[He'll attempt to make his way to the kitchen? He assumes there's some kind of kitchen, some place he can find a general ledger of shipments, to see if he can pick out their mystery box.]

[ no one seems to pay him any mind whatsoever as he heads into the kitchen, where meals are being busily prepared. a small alcove to the left seems to be the pantry, and there's a hall that breaks off to the right with four visible doors. one of them has the word EXIT over it in glowing lights at the end of the hall. the other doors are less visible from his angle. ]

[Searching around with a... Crit fail. Action point? Another crit fail. It is destined. Phineas will wander aimlessly, looking for something important.]

[ as phineas wanders into the kitchen, one of the cooks cries out as something literally jumps out of the pot and hits the floor, heading for the door - which is where phineas is standing???? it's this horrible thing and it's snapping its claws furiously at him. hi. ]

[No no no no. Nooooope. Phineas is going to use his Command ability to tell the horrible crab-beast to STOP. The save DC is a Will DC15. He needs to use Bluff to convey the message, though, because he doesn't speak crab. So, this is reliant on a Bluff of 25 (No penalty to use it rushed due to Naberius)]

[crab noises and gestures]

[ the reefclaw STOPS?? ?? and looks up at him, cocking its lobster head at him like the fuck is this ]

[Wow that worked... Continued Crab noising, followed by clacking and doing a crab-walk - Intimidate check of 28

[ the reefclaw backs away uncertainly, but also everyone in the kitchen is staring at him like

[Phineas glares at the rest of the staff, then mutters.]

Do something, you fucking part-timers!

[ uncertainly, one of them goes to pick up the reefclaw, and deposit it back in the pot. the show over, the rest look disappointed and turn back to work

also phineas get a text message ]

Thank you. [Phineas pulls his phone out, and acts like he's just way too busy for all this shit, as he fires back a reply text: "No worries. Infiltrating the staff - looking for the shipping ledger"]

[And then with a 26 bluff, to the closest staff person;]

Hey, boss says he wants me to check the inventory numbers. You seen the damn records anywhere?

[ the cook jerks a thumb down the hall, the same way as the elevator. "Clipboard in the pantry." ]

meanwhile, cordy finds her way to bambi. ] Did you see the text?

[Bambi's been sitting at the table this whole time, playing SPOT THE CELEBRITY, so the text is a welcome distraction from tableguarding.]

Hell yeah, I saw it. [she holds up her phone and raises an eyebrow.] "Ninjas and shit." D'you think they're drugging the sangria down there?

I don't know, but Phineas never came out of the kitchen, either.

[well... Bambi pushes her chair back and pockets her phone.]

Let's go make sure they haven't... I don't know. Fed him to the monster or something.

Ugh. How did we land babysitting duty, exactly? [ but she'll go, ok. SO INTO THE KITCHEN THEY HEAD. what is phineas even doing ]

[Phineas will be thumbing through the clipboard, looking for anything in the stock lists that might tip him off as to what they're looking for, and where it might be stored... Gather Information check of 17 to see if he finds anything useful, and he looks up when Cordy & Bambi approach... Bluff 28;]

Oh hey ladies... [He checks his phone.] Look at the time! I'm working overtime, geez. [He starts to discard his disguise.]

[That's all she's got. DON'T COUNT ON HER FOR A BLUFF OKAY. SHE TAPS OUT AT BLUFFS AT DOCUMENT FORGERIES.]

[ lmfao everyone just sort of lets phineas do his thing. he does notice some deliveries marked from 'ptc' but there's a note that they've been stored downstairs behind the stairs, because they were 'too large' for the supply room. 8|

cordy grabs him by his sleeve, hisses in his ear with a forced smile at the cooks ] We have to get downstairs, pronto.

Alright, let's roll... [He tosses an apron, and following Cordy out, stops to bark one last thing to the kitchen staff;]
