The day has finally arrived: the 2015 Grammy's gather together musical talent at the top of the food chain, which means that NOVA Records will be well represented at this year's ceremony. Unfortunately, this includes performances from Keijen Blade's band, Heatless Passion, and Nadia Reichenov's, Derere, both of whom are working for "Chad Becksworth", aka Draken Crombe, head of the Shadowkind-hating cult, the Church of the Lord's Humanity.  Equipped with some sort of ability to hypnotize large crowds with subliminal messages, Wynn fears what lies beneath Keijen's intended performance, and is sending his Knights to shut down the broadcast, to prevent that message from being spread to millions of viewers worldwide.

Meanwhile, the gang finally has a chance to see Rafael Giovanni again - but what he's been up to in the months since they last saw him, and how his reunion with Buffy will go, remains to be seen.

Several of the Knights have decided that this is their last chance as well to try and break Nadia free from Keijen's influence, now that they've learned the truth about him - that Keijen is in fact Kel'in'hrae, sadistic son of the Nightmare God Malaak'a, likely working to free his father from the prison Sehanine had created for him.  The prison sealed by the relic that the team has been chasing for years, believing it to be an immortality-granting talisman of great power.

The truth, it seems, was worse than they could have imagined.  

One step at a time, however, and stopping the signal is first priority on Failboat's to do list for now.  With an actual plan under their belts this time, maybe this is the turning point they've been waiting for...

[I lost my tag, and had to re-type it. ☹ ]

[Shortly after taking off, Archer pulls down a suitcase, and pops it open. It hisses gently and emits a little bit of fog from the dry ice keeping the whole thing nice and chilled. He plucks a bottle from within the cleverly disguised mini bar, grumbling;] They expect me to drink the bottom shelf garbage they have on this plane... Do they know who I am? [He then proceeds to fold out a rear compartment in the box, revealing a dazzling array of garnishes, and whips himself up a fantastic Pimm's Cup. Sterling "The Duchess" Archer, that's who.

Well, I guess you're nothing if not prepared.

[Make a girl a drink, Archer.

Wait, hold on a tic.]

[I'm pretty sure that's the first time she's heard that....?]

No, I totally picked it myself. [He sarcastically deadpans.]

[Then, Will save 7... Sense motive... 4 I think Elena may have just short-circuited Archer's brain.]

So what if I am? [...That is definitely a nat 20 Charisma check. Archer has no idea what's going on, but he's always suave as all hell. He pretty much throws himself at Elena, intent on making out for an extended period of time - probably casually dropping his half-full drink in the process.]

[Will save 17...which means I rolled a 4. Y e p. Epic failure on both their parts. It also means that she fails the urge to want to know more about his motives here, because she's gotten a little paranoid over the last six months, and she instinctively tries to read his mind even as she reciprocates. She can deal with the emotional consequences of whatever she finds in his brain afterward.

Apparently she also catches both of their drinks and sets them aside mid-makeout, because her reflex save was a 29. Champions.]

[Seeing as Archer's mind can't articulate coherent thoughts right now, I figured a diagram might better reflect what Elena gleans from his mind: I give you, the mind of Sterling Archer.]

[Between kissing and gasping for air, he says;] Nice catch... Are you thinking what I'm thinking.

[Well, that was a trip. Is she high? Is he high? Probably yes, maybe to both.

The corner of her mouth perks up as she speaks between breathes.]

Well, I wasn't thinking about space pirates.

[The rest is...close enough. (I rolled a 3 on my follow up will save. Welp.)]

[The situation has picked up momentum, and is spiraling out of control. Archer has no problem with this.]

Space pirates sounds like a tomorrow kind of problem. Follow me.

[Archer slips up, and pushes towards the front of the plane with a 19 move silently check, trying to keep this on the down-low somehow, with Elena in tow grasping her close behind (assuming she has no objections.)

Burning some action points to make this a reality - because why waste them on combat situations when there's moments like this: Archer will lead them not to the lavatory, but into the cockpit. With a Intimidate check of 31, he'll "convince" the poor pilot to flip the autopilot on and take a break, relax, and have a drink. He'll even tell him where the superior minibar is stashed.]

Don't sound so surprised. [He grins, and cooks Finnick up a "Green Russian". Why is the only picture I can find of a Green Russian sideways? Because that's how you feel after drinking one. It's like mostly Absinthe.]

Someone's gotta make sure we're all well-lubricated for the mission.

[he takes it, looks at it, and just drinks the thing. YEAHHHHH.] Maybe not too lubricated, though. Most of our friends [aren't world-class alcoholics] can't hold alcohol like we can.

I'll drink to that. Alcohol immersion training should really be a more vital part of the squiring process. Weed out the weak-livered ones.

It didn't seem to do much good against those fucking iron man robots at the castle... Must mean I've got to do a lot more training. [He smirks, drains his glass, and starts mixing up another.]

[ fred watches this display with raised eyebrows as he makes his way back from the bathroom ] I don't know whether to be disturbed ... or impressed. [ a beat ] Which Kat tells me is pretty standard fare around you.

My reputation precedes me. [Archer will mix Fred up a Whiskey neat. Fred looks like a Whiskey neat kind of guy. No need to ask, he passes it to him, and then devoid of any tact;] So, you got a bitchin scar or anything? [You know. From that time where you were dead.] They didn't like Robocop you did they? [ he takes the drink, sniffs it, and shrugs, taking a drink ] If they did, they haven't mentioned it to me yet. I do have this thing where I'm supposed to plug into a wall socket every night though, not sure what that's all about.

[Archer's eyes narrow.] I really hope that's just a terrible joke. I have a strict "Kill all cyborgs/androids/manbots/fembots/et cetera" policy.

...Maybe I should learn how to become a sorcerer over a weekend, or something. There online classes for that? Like a certification or something?
