The Knights arrive in Aursaburg to help the villagers with a problem they've been having with a local witch. The little village seems fairly quiet, but the team would be able to hear some rather heated words spoken a bit down the road from them. It escalates to shouting in a hurry, with the most noticeable word of the bunch being 'witch.' Faye glances at the others, realizing that oh shit- I'm in charge. Squaring her shoulders, she gestures for the group to follow her down the road.

"Sounds like our cue." Whatever is going on in this town seems to be happening thatta way.

[Cora takes all three of those hits, and she's glad she does because she is strong enough to take it. They're hard hits though, and it leaves her pretty rough. Thankfully, shifting does gain her some of those hit points back (+11), even if she is still looking haggard, but she also can attack too.

She lunges for the nearest ogre - probably #2, and goes right for the throat (attack 24, damage 16).]

[Faye hustles up the stairs to get to Cora and finds herself looking at all these ugly ass ogres, gross. She reaches out and grabs the arm of the one Cora isn't tearing into, delivering a shocking grasp (melee touch 17, damage 27)]

[Taradiddle's gonna come up and feed Cora a few more hit points, cause she knows who the tank is and keeping the tank on her feet seems like a good way to go (cure light wounds, +8 hp). Keep taking damage so that the tiny people don't have to, giant scary wolf girl!]

[The third ogre goes to take a swing at Faye since she grabbed his buddy, but he crit fails and his weapon slips out of his fingers and goes flying across the room, whoops.]

[And Kenzi will target Numero Two as well as she moves into firing range. Atk 22 Dmg 12 (Penetration)]

[Ogre 2 swings at Cora (attack 24, damage 16) while ogre 3 goes for Faye (nat 20, damage 35). Faye is... not looking so good, gang. Like down to 16 hp not good. Ow.]

[Her werewolf armor prevents the ogre from doing too much damage on that swing, the wound almost healing completely as soon as it strikes, thanks werewolf damage resistance. And since she's not cool at all with the orges attacking her friends she's just going to promptly attempt to murder Ogre #2 right back (attack 37, damage 13, attack nat 20, damage 38).]

[Faye wants to be anywhere but where this fighting is since she's lacking in the HP department, but she can't really get OUT of the fight now, so... she takes a five foot step back and sends 5 magic missiles at ogre 3 because he hit her and she's super not okay with that. 20 more damage to him. He doesn't look great, but he's still standing.]

[Don't worry, Faye! That's why you brought a cleric! Taradiddle rushes over and smacks her across the back, healing her for 14 hp (cure moderate wounds).]

[Faye appreciates u girl. Ogre 3 runs to take the weapon off his dead friend because he's closer. He gets a swing at Cora, but... dear god this guy can't roll for shit. It's not a crit fail but it's def not hitting Cora. Sigh.]

[Welp with #2 down, Kenzi's going to help by focusing on #3 as well. Who says you can't gang up on the bad guys. Atk ... JFC she crit failed for 8 dmg. SORRY FOLKS. Maybe she'll shoot herself in the foot okay. Literally. It would be deserved.]

[Pretend that I didn't mess up and say ogre 3 just went when I meant ogre 1... Because it's ogre 3's turn now, shhhh.

Yeah, sorry Kenz. You totally got yourself right in the foot. Yeowch! Ogre 3 tries to help his buddy out with Cora, since she seems the scariest. (attack 25, damage 10)]

[The attack hits, but it's almost like it glances off her, not even leaving a dent. She lashes out at Ogre #3 next, slashing at them with both claws (attack 23, penetration damage 22, attack 24, damage 16).]

[Cora's claws drop ogre #3, leaving just numero uno standing. Faye fires off more magic missiles at him for 23 damage. Yes good magic missile auto hitting is v nice for her.]

Just die, you disgusting asshole.

[No one seems on the brink of death besides Kenzi's self-inflicted wounds, so Taradiddle holds her spells for the moment, instead raising her gun and taking a shot. Pretty ineffectually (atk 9).]

[Yeah... that last ogre just full on bolts to try to not die a horrible death like his friends. But doing so will give Cora an attack of opportunity and probably Kenzi, too who I assume is by the stairs?? So melee attacks if you ladies wanna take them. Otherwise, he gone.]

[Yep, Cora's definitely going to take that, swiping at the ogre as he tries to run past her (attack 29, damage 20).]

[And Kenzi, after having just... SHOT HERSELF IN THE FOOT! In a display that is more ass than class any day of the week, accidentally takes her attack of opportunity, sending a fist flying into the ogre as she hops around howling in pain.

[Yeah, that'll take him out. Watch as he tumbles down the stairs and lays lifeless at the bottom, weee. /init]

[Cora will immediately shift back from wolf form, giving her hit points another small bump (+14). After that she will look around the room for a moment, trying sniff out of there's anything that will help them (survival 22, spot 17).]

[There's no much in the way of loot in the room, but by now, Cora's nose is well trained to Autumn's scent, the trail they've been following all this time. It leads her to the staircase in the center of the room that leads up or back down from where they came, but the scent is definitely in the up direction. Beyond the scent she's been tracking, the air smells of acrid chemicals and wet dogs.]

Up, I guess? [Faye has no idea but it's the only option they've got right now. But first she turns to Tardiddle.] You got any more spells to spare? I'm still in a lot of pain.

[So is Cora, so she simply nods to Faye's assessment and points up the stairs for good measure.]
