briefing ♔ a lion still has claws | and mine are long and sharp

WHO || Wynn, Buffy, Des, Myri, Astrid, Elena, Spike, Vi, Archer, Felicity, Rose, Steve, Kat, Gar, Dumage [Closed]
WHAT || Wedding Crashers Mission Briefing
WHERE || Knights HQ, the briefing room
WHEN || Vague February date, shortly before 5pm [forward dated]
HOW || Actionspam. Single thread, don't worry about maintaining tagging order.
The Knights might have known better than to expect their unseating of Dimitris Sarandis from his position as dictator would go without reprisal. The sudden attack staged by Sarandis killed several Knights and leveled part of their home, shaking their confidence, but not their resolve. It's hardly surprising, then, that the moment a lead has arisen as to Dimitris' whereabouts, the Knights are prepared to spring into action.
That lead has come in a surprising form - as Sir Dumage Moulet returns with the news that her sister, Amanda, is engaged to wed Sarandis, and that she's willing to do whatever it takes to prevent that from occurring, even at the risk of potentially compromising the cover she has established with the villains.

Fresh meat?

[he takes the empty seat on Astrid's other side, and gives her a slight nod and a tight grin.]

[ also finnick, but vi just isn't going to mention that. let's focus on mark being king. she doesn't want felicity to have to defend being there though. ]
Besides, me and Archer were the fresh meat once and that worked out great. [ a beat while lucia makes heart eyes at gar. ] Varying degrees of greatish.

We have superstars, their main squeezes, and royalty on our team. How are we supposed to top that?
[Though, again, it doesn't look like they're all here. Buffy is probably plastered all over gossip magazines, though, so she's still pretty high profile.]
Besides, I think I'll just consider them additions instead of replacements.
[Just because everyone might not be present doesn't mean they're not there in spirit okay 8(
Elena is just happy that she knows all these new people at least a little bit.]

I feel so welcomed. [deadpan as fuck with a face to match]

But she's not going to be sullen about it. She's just going to shrug it off.]
Extra muscle can't hurt, right?
[She means more Steve than herself.]

The more the merrier. [ Then, to Vi and Elena. ] Actually, speaking of topping that, I'm betting it's no coincidence that Rafael and Mark both got passed over for an invite.

[Archer saunters past, martini in hand, which promptly cascades to the ground when he catches sight of Steve.]
Bahahahaha! Ho... holy shit. [He doubles over, and grabs hold of a chair, laughing so hard he's out of breath.] nobody told me we were doing costumes! Since when are we doing costumes?!

Is the star part of the brand name or just a personal touch? No judgment. If your aesthetic convinces Archer to wear a cape, I'm all for it.

You look... heroic. [There's really no other word for it.]

Yeah it's kinda old fashioned, but during World War 2 it was important to keep moral up. The design wasn't done by me. I was kind of a well known figure during that time. The suit helped me stand out. I guess I sorta like it now.

[She crosses her arms over her chest and leans back in her seat.]
Unfortunately, bullets are the least of our worries.

World War II. [he clicks his tongue] But these are very different trenches, soldier boy. Elena's right. I would highly recommend seeing about tinfoil hats. It's about the only thing we haven't tried on these psion bitches.

I think I'll stick to my Tactylneck. Though capes are totally making a comeback, and I can totally rock one, if necessary.

[And no one wants that, clearly. It is a very poor fashion choice.]
