The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

[ too late in that felicity pushes open a door as they're going down the hall and almost gets mowed down by some people bringing in someone on a gurney. one of the nurses gives them a dirty look and looks them over.

"Can I help you find something?" she asks, in the tone of someone who is trying to get rid of you, not help you with anything.

naturally, it's at that point that astrid notices there's a supply closet like right behind said nurse. ]

[And there's a quick step back as Felicity dodges the sudden gurney (reflex save 22), before she lies her ass off, as she do (bluff 37).]

Sorry, first day. Took the wrong door. Locker room?

[Just to give her an excuse to brush her off and not scrutinize her too closely.]

[ the nurse's irritation shifts to an ugh noobs flavor, but she waves a hand in the direction that they need to keep going. ] Down to the left.

[pathology]

Got it, thanks. [she just keeps going bc if the nurse doesn't want to talk to them, she doesn't want to prolong the conversation any longer than it needs to be. maybe after the gurney goes by they can just ... turn around into the closet. that is her brilliant plan. yep.]

[Yep, away they go, not wanting to irritate the nurse any more than they already have. She turns and heads in the direction indicated, keeping an ear out to see when they're out of view (listen 17).]

[ unfortunately for Astrid, the nurse turns around and goes INTO said closet. But they head towards the locker room, and felicity can hear a little bit of chatter inside. ]

[pathology]

[as they approach the locker room and she thinks she might hear people inside, she relays a very important message to felicity, trusting her to take the hint.] If we don't find my phone in the locker room, we should check the supply closet back there.

[Felicity catches on easily (wisdom 15), nodding as she pushes open the door, casually:]

I'm sure it's around here somewhere. It's not like we've been anywhere else all day.

[ it turns out that there is only one woman in here, about halfway dressed, with her phone to her ear, chattering away. she does seem to hear them they enter and says: ] --anyway, I have to go. Tell the kids I love them. Bye. [ and slides the phone away into her open locker. ]

[Felicity notices the woman there, and gives her a bit of a nod in return, before glancing back to Astrid and tipping her head to the side (bluff 21).]

I'll take left, you take right. It's an iPhone, right?

[Because if they just get in, get out and get gone, they'll be set. And she's going to set about searching for the "phone" (search 21).]

Yeah, iPhone. It has a pink case. [ (bluff 21) and then she also starts searching for her "phone". (search 21) twin matching rolls omg]

[ WELL THEY BOTH FIND UNIFORMS, both mens and womens, in lockers that aren't fully locked, but unfortunately for them, the woman decides to be overly helpful and glances towards felicity's side of the room: ] Did someone leave their phone in here? Do you need help?

[allmydreams]

[Felicity wheels around, thankfully before she got the uniforms in her hands and she gives her a wide smile (bluff 28).]

Oh, that's so sweet of you. But no, we've got it. We don't want to hold you up.

[Maybe Astrid can snag a uniform for Steve while Felicity is being distracting.]

[pathology]

[sure why not. astrid will gently try to square away a uniform into her bag with an amazing sleight of hand 18.]

[ the woman glances over at astrid just after she shoves it in, her hand halfway in the bag still, but the uniform not in sight. ] Did you find it?

[allmydreams]

[And while she's talking to Astrid, Felicity is going to snag her uniform and shove it into her own bag (sleight of hand 25).]

[astrid acts like her hand going into her bag was to pull out her phone and show it to the lady. (bluff 24)] Yeah, I just felt it go off in my bag! I guess it was there the whole time.

[ annnd she failed her spot check and then CRIT FAILED HER SENSE MOTIVE so she just smiles widely. ] Oh! I hate it when that happens. [ she gives them a little wave, grabbing her own bag ] Glad you found it.

[allmydreams]

[And Felicity just adjusts the strap of the bag on her shoulder with a bright smile.]

Thanks for your help. We really appreciate it.

No problem. [ she starts towards the door, but hesitates there a moment, looking back at them, before she asks something in... what must be slovechnian. ]

[Oh, hey, there's a language that Felicity definitely doesn't ... in any way remotely speak. She does her best not to show it, however, glancing up and back at her almost as though she doesn't hear her, hoping that she might repeat it ... but this time in English. Or French (bluff 37).]

What was that?

[She's trying to avoid an actual confrontation for as long as possible. Get in, get out, hopefully not have to punch anyone in the face.]

[astrid also decides to take the passive path and ... just dicks around with her phone and pretends she didn't hear the nurse at all. yep. (bluff 25)]

[ the girl doesn't seem to think anything is wrong - her expression is guileless as she smiles at felicity, repeating the question. ]

[allmydreams]

[And Felicity is just going to throw out a Hail Mary and hope it works. She shifts her bag awkwardly on her shoulder and looks apologetic (bluff 35).]

I'm sorry, I don't speak Slovechinian. We're visiting to consult on a case.

[And then she's just going to drag Astrid in on this bluff so she doesn't get asked medical questions.]

Rather, she's consulting, I'm managing her schedule and fetching her coffee.

[ the woman looks confused for a moment, but then looks astrid over, seems to accept that (???) and then pushes her strap further up her shoulder, pushing the door open ] It's fine. I was just wondering what brought you here. I'll let you go for now though, I'm already running late. [ with another cheery wave, she departs~ ]
