The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

[ the flight to slovechnia is only a couple of hours, and the Knights will be spending at least the first part of that doing final mission decisions (in the first thread response to this), but you're free to do any open threads as responses to this as well. characters will probably only have time for a conversation or two separately before they arrive. ]

I thought we might sort through precisely who will be doing what before we arrive. And I'm aware that some of you might not know me quite as well as the others, so, an introduction... might be nice. My name is Jeanne Gar, and I'll be serving as your mission leader.

[ Buffy parks her ass right next to Elena when they board the plane, settling in for a long flight. She gets her phone out for Candy Crush, but she doesn't touch it, instead gazing despondently out the window with a pervasive sense of unease. Distraction keeps her from improving the impression she made on the new additions to the team, her attention only occasionally straying from the window, to her seat partner, across the aisle to some of their older teammates, then back to her game. ]

[ dumage is taking up residence as close to the back of the plane as she can, maybe enjoying one very nice stiff drink on the flight. she isn't her usual self, not bothering to throw caustic jabs into other people's conversations - instead she'll stay quiet unless someone comes to bother her. ]

[ Steve has been on airplanes, but usually carriers designed for quick exit not lounging. He looks a little uncomfortable with the niceness of the aircraft, but he's adjusting. He's got something on over the tac suit that was commented on in the briefing. His shield is next to his seat. If he's not reading then he's probably sketching someone on the plane randomly. ]

[ for once, vi is quiet, tucked into her seat in the back. she also has a sure fire way to keep most nosy people at bay because she still has to parent even when her child is back at the castle under the watchful eye of many knights -- which is why part of the time she's half covered in a blanket, expressing. even if she has to waste it, which may make her cry, she still has to do it and she'd secured herself in the back so she wouldn't bother anyone with it. her headphones are blasting elvis in an attempt to keep her distracted from worrying about whether or not she's about to make her daughter an orphan.

spoilers, it's not working. so the rest of the flight is spent rethreading the delicate strip of fabric through her bowstring over and over again. she has it down to a science by now, fingers light and nimble, but she doesn't seem satisfied with her own work, ripping it out to start over almost as soon as she's done. ]

[Des has claimed two seats for his own, though he sticks close to the window. the whole trip, he's fidgety without actively getting up and moving around to deal with it. in fact he seems to be mostly absorbed in a book when he's not pausing to roll his shoulders and glance out the window with an aggrieved expression.

[Slotted somewhere in the midst of everyone, there is a Rose. With a phone. That she's either texting on or just. Staring at when she's not looking off into space because LBR she's never discovered Candy Crush. We should all just be impressed that she's managed to master texting. Given how well her last run in with Dimtris went, it's probably no wonder she looks a little tense but she'll be ready with a tight smile should anyone try to engage her but probably won't be going out of her way to strike up a conversation with anyone as she tries not to look half as an uncomfortable as she probably does.]

[astrid is sitting in the exit row, laying so that her legs are spread across the seat next to her. no buddies invited over here thx. everyone seems depressed and it's bumming her out, so she decides to just .. ignore them with headphones in, playing with her phone. probably messing with that app that lets you edit your selfies until you're a cat person.]

[Spike actually did bring a book of Sudoku, but he's given up partway through cause it turns out Sudoku is hard and started doodling in the margins. He's taking up two seats, like most people are, since if you're gonna have a private jet why the bloody hell not, right?]

[Elena spends the majority of the flight sitting next to Buffy either talking to her or writing in her journal, but she gets up at some point to grab a drink and a snack from Myri's feast before they land, at which point she can be bothered alone if anyone is inclined.]

[For most of the flight, Myri is quiet. As much as she knows this is where she needs to be, it still makes her nervous to be away from Shayla. She's also second guessing the spells she's prepared. There's no way to be certain just what she may need. She has to hope that the Stargods know best.

Also, some point while in transit, she's going to cast Heroes' Feast to give everyone the bonuses associated with that (at work so linking is hard yo). So enjoy your in flight meal, gang.]

[As Felicity makes her way around the cabin and gets to know her teammates she will eventually stop by the team leader's seat, not wanting to bother her but wanting to stop in all the same.]

[ while the others go steal an ambulance, gar has gotten the rest of them a large hotel suite around the corner from the church to don their various disguises. since they have plenty of time and assistance from others, i'll let everyone take 20 on their final disguise check if they wish (it does not count as a natural 20, but it means you can add 20 to your disguise modifier). the aid of the disguise kit below will grant them an additional +6! please note what their total is once theirs is complete, somewhere in this thread! ]

I thought it might be wise to disguise those of you who'll be outside as various, er, service workers. To that end, I've this box...

[ the box contains uniforms for gardeners, meter readers, cooks, anything you can think of really. it also has a number of wigs of all colors, glasses, fake beards, etc... ] Perhaps those who'll be taking each exit might coordinate together?

That said, disguises are...kind of her specialty, so she's not going to be against helping out.]

[ the chapel is a fancy, old looking building, ostensibly a christian church of some kind. there's a bell tower attached to the front of it and a single set of wide wooden double doors that grant entrance to the stream of incoming guests. a pair of guys in nice suits with sunglasses and visible earpieces flank the doors, monitoring the entrance, and the front yard sports a wide yard, although it's a bit bleaker than it looks here, in spite of the unseasonably warm february weather. ]

[ vi does her best to not stick out like a sore thumb and her disguise check probably helps out in that respect, so she tries to focus on the task at hand. tries. ]

[ there's a small garden area behind the chapel, with an opening that leads to a set of doors that exit directly out of the room where the ceremony will be taking place. there are plenty of trees and bushes around, and a few people stroll through the area leisurely before the wedding itself, taking in the atmosphere. ]

[And Rose continues her trend of looking like she knows what she's doing when really she totally fluked the fact that she chose to disguise herself as a Gardener and then... found herself in a Garden.

Positioned so she can watch both east and west paths, as well as the chapel doors themselves, Rose makes a show of tending to one of the garden beds, sweeping the area and occasionally glancing in Buffy's direction as if to check in. (Spot 32. Listen 39 with a +4 against any undead or outsiders.)]

[ this side of the chapel is pretty bare, with a row of windows, and then a single door down at the end, that no one seems to be using. a walkway winds around the chapel here to connect to the gardens in the back. ]

[Welp, time to loiter, then. Spike pulls out a pack of cigarettes and leans against the wall, keeping his eyes and ears open (spot 36, listen 26).]

[ the west doors of the chapel are set on the side with the belltower, tucked behind it for direct accessibility into the kitchen. there are a couple of windows on this side, but only ones that look into the lobby and the kitchen themselves. a small path grants access to the garden behind the building. ]

[Operation loitering kitchen staff is a go. Des is peering into the lobby window, figuring he can excuse himself if anyone catches this by claiming he just wanted to see the fancy people. :( (spot 20 total). He also critfailed his fucking listen check. Good job, Descant.]

We have to be.

[Simple as that. No going back now. It's already occurred to her how dangerous her role here is, going into this building where who knows how many of their enemies might be waiting, with all of their backup outside, but it has to be done.

Lion's den is a rather apt description.]

[Elena looks pissed as they're led away from the rest of the people, heading towards who knows where. Either way, they need to keep their cover and keep it together until Sarandis is out of the building and in that ambulance.]

You know, when I tried to help, this wasn't the gratitude I imagined. [ She turns to look at Elena, softening somewhat. ] How's your ankle? Try not to put weight on it until I get a chance to make sure it isn't broken. [ By which, judging by the genuine look in her eyes, really means that she's sorry and is going to try not to fuck things up further before they get a minute alone. ]

[Hearing everything over the comms and relieved that Myri is taken care of for now, Des begins running towards the garden, turning his comm on as he goes.]

they aren't alone. another pair of planes are parked here, and wynn stands outside of one, speaking to hasmed. they both look up when they arrive, and wynn starts that way. ]

[Felicity is going to be less of a social butterfly than she was on the way there, and is mostly going to find her seat and take some time to wind down. Part of her need to chat before was more nerves than anything else, and right now, she's looking to relax and shake the post mission adrenaline rush.

Sarandis is dead, Dumage's sister isn't married and they succeeded in what they came there to do. Mostly.

She's still in her paramedic's uniform and she could probably use a drink, but for right now she's going to just relax and process what's happened in the last few hours. Not that she really did much of extreme consequence, but it's good to decompress all the same.]
