The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

[Elena spends the majority of the flight sitting next to Buffy either talking to her or writing in her journal, but she gets up at some point to grab a drink and a snack from Myri's feast before they land, at which point she can be bothered alone if anyone is inclined.]

[This Hero's feast is awesome. Not that Felicity ever has problems when it comes to eating food, but this is awesome food which makes her job easy. There's a small smile as Elena gets closer, and she raises her glass at the same time.]

[Elena gives the woman a small smile as she reaches out to grab a glass so that she can raise her in return.]

I hope we won't need it, but a little luck never hurt anyone.

No, it did not.

[She takes a long sip before shaking her head.]

Personally, I've always counted on a little luck. Skill can only get you so far.

[Her smile turns slightly bitter as she nods quietly.]

In situations like these, I understand that all too well. We've had things fall apart around us far too many times to truly believe they won't at some point this time.

[She takes a drink before she adds:]

But I'm not going to complain if I ended up pleasantly surprised.

[She laughs a bit at that, before nodding.]

I like that. Set the bar low enough and pretty much anything can be a win. But I'm hoping that between you on the inside and the three of us being relative unknowns, we can get shit done.

I'll call it a win if we all get out of here alive and have Sarandis with us.

[Everything else was just details. She'll stick to the plan, of course, but plans are not very good at sticking to them.]

But I think we can at least manage that last part regardless. It'll be done, one way or another.

[She nods in agreement.]

I think we're all extremely motivated to make that happen, at any rate. Where there's a will, there's a way.

I'm not sure there's a truer statement than that.

[astrid just starts talking to elena like they're pretty much best friends. since she showed up at her birthday and turned into jason statham for her, they are best friends as far as astrid's concerned.]

I saw all the food and was immediately like, there better be vegetarian stuff here. [she pauses to drink the ambrosia.] Could you imagine? Nothing for me to eat, guess I'm going to die.

[She'll go with it. That's fine.]

Really? I find it hard to believe there weren't some kind of potato or carrots or something.

[She didn't eat much, herself, but she had enough.]

No, there was! I'm just saying, if there wasn't. I would've been sad.

Ah. I was going to say, that wouldn't be much of a feast.

[She takes a sip of ambrosia, which she is definitely enjoying.]

I wasn't even aware Myri could do all this.

Me either! Like, I work with her in the light wing, but she's never done anything like this there.

Magic will never cease to amaze me.

I used to hate it, but now ... I guess it's useful. Sometimes. A little bit.

There are some things that only magic can do, but it doesn't negate the things that can be done without it.

[ it's actually when the plane has landed, and they're disembarking that kat manages to make her way to elena's side where not everyone can overhear, while the others are unloading shit. ] Everything ok with you two? [ she shoots a glance buffy's direction. it's not clear how much she... did or did not hear, but she looks concerned enough ]

It's nothing you need to worry about.

[The answer is curt, as if any other prodding into the subject is clearly unwanted.]

That's not how it sounded. Look, I don't need to know details, but I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one who overheard some of that.

That's bound to happen when you get cornered in a metal flying tube.

[At least she sounds like she expected people to overhear things, even if she's not happy about it.]

I just think none of us want any more surprises today than we're already gonna get.

Believe me, we're of a like mind on that.

[Then she tries to...change the subject.]

Dumage thinks Sarandis might put up a metal detector at the doors, and I'd rather not be inside for an extended amount of time unarmed. Can you help me with that?

[shootfirst]

I have a spell that can mask it from their sensors, but it'll only last two hours. We should wait until you're about to go in.

[doubletake]

[She nods.]

That's fine. Thank you. [A beat.] So, where are you going to be during all this?

[She assumes doing more monitoring via computers and such, casting some magic, but I don't think it was every directly specified???]
