The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

[Des moves away from the window, since Myri is watching it, and taps his earpiece to turn it on.] What's the situation in there, guys? Is it handled?

[rationalizes]

[ tacked onto that: ] For god's sake, someone tell me what's going on.

[With a voice that's low;] They're letting the Paramedics see to Dimitris so that's something.

Yeah, but shit's getting fucked up too. I think they're suspicious.

[Des groans.] If Dumage gives us shit about this, I swear to Christ...

[rationalizes]

The police might be coming. We need to hurry this up.

[nothingsodivine]

[in a quiet, panicked voice:] The police?! [he presses his knuckles to his mouth to stifle a swear.] Short of pulling a fire alarm- which really will bring down all holy hell- I don't know how to make this go any faster.

[witchwoman]

I don't think there's much we can do. [But from her look out spot, Myri can tell that things are at least moving in the right direction.]

We have to trust that those out there with him can handle this.

[Most of those folks are ones Myri hasn't been on a mission with so...that's easier said than done.]

[ at that point the door opens up from the kitchen and amanda and valentin and his entire entourage spill out ] He can't die. Not now.

I'm certain the paramedics made it in time. Many people have such scares, but it does not mean he will die.

[Des has taken to chewing on a nail as he talks into the comms.] My tits are as calm as they need to be where Archer and law enforcement are concerned.

[MAKING GOOD CHOICES SUCKS. He switches his earpiece off again and runs a hand through his hair.] Goddammit. You're right, Little Bit. You're absolutely right. That's what I just told you. I-

[He looks up at... these people coming out. Shit fuck. Dial it back, Descant. At least he looks appropriately embarrassed to sell this bluff. (bluff 49)] Hi... Something tells me your family drama is even worse than mine. What's happening in there?

[Myri knows to leave the actual lying to Des. She learned a bit about smooth talking from Finnick and Des, but he's still the expert at this part. So she'll just sell her wide eyed shock at the situation and hope that she looks appropriately clueless (bluff 17)]

nat 20 sense motive. so while amanda looks dismissive of these two, he turns to fix them with a suspicious look ] The groom has suffered an unfortunately timed bout of cardiac arrest, perhaps. I heard something about law enforcement?

That a fact? Poor guy. [shiiit fuck. Des, at least, looks cool as a cucumber. (will save 33)] Don't you know it's impolite to eavesdrop?

[he looks at Myri like "tch, can you believe this guy?" If he's gonna be suspicious, he's at least gonna act like there's nothing to be suspicious about.]

[Myri's eyes flash like Des wtf are you doing. This is not how kitchen staff talk to royalty, son...]

Do either of you need anything? A glass of water? Something small to nibble on? I'm sure the whole ordeal was quite traumatic. A bit of food might settle the nerves.

[des doesn't look like he's too impressed with the idea of maintaining a cover under such heavy scrutiny, especially with those sirens blaring.] All right, all right. My apologies, Your Highness. it's been one hell of a day. [he sucks in a breath.] And it sounds like for somebody it's gonna get a lot worse. Rain check on those nibbles?

[ amanda looks over her shoulder at the sound of the sirens, bunching up the fabric of her wedding dress in one hand ] We're leaving.

[princesmarming]

[ valentin is still looking at des like >:| but he acquiesces to amanda's reminder. ] Yes... I suggest you get inside with the guests.

[witchwoman]

No, please! [Myri surges forward to try to stop them from leaving. Keeping an eye on Dumage's sister can't be a bad idea, right?? And keeping Valentin occupied also seems like a good plan maybe??]

You look as though you might faint. You've had such a terrible ordeal, miss. Please... Let me see to you. Your groom will want to see you at your best once he's well, I imagine...

[Diplomacy nat 20, 40 total.]

[nothingsodivine]

[Oh shit. That is... really clever, Myri, though Des looks like he'd rather swallow glass than hang out with Prince Fancypants over here, who can SEE RIGHT THROUGH HIS BULLSHIT. AND KNOWS HE MIGHT BE UP TO SOMETHING.]

Um... Yeah, you might be running straight into the danger. [He winces as Gar's message for back-up comes over his earpiece. oh shit this is not good.]

But where we will go? [ amanda looks swayed, but uncertain as she glances towards the building ] My sister told me it's dangerous to stay here.

[ valentin hears that gunfire, and hesitates, seeing the logic in what they're saying too. he puts a hand on amanda's shoulder, glancing at his entourage. ] I do not think we can make it to my limousine now. Something is happening out there.

[witchwoman]

I know it isn't very dignified, but... The bell tower, perhaps? It may not be the most dignified, but I imagine it would at least be quiet.

[So I swear to god, I re rolled the diplomacy check and...got another nat 20. Myri is serious business right now.]

[Man Myri you mean business here. Des thinks that over and realizes that while it's going to give Valentin and Amanda a view of the carnage, it also gives them a view of it.]

Yeah, it's probably the safest place at this point.
