The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

[And Felicity will also be sliding into the car, this time into the back seat where she will do her best to get out of the way of anyone who will need to stick out the window and fight.]

[Rose spares a quick glance in Des's direction. A flicker of indignation in her dark brown eyes makes it look like she's about to argue with him but the arrival of their escape method, cuts it short.]

Go. [Don't worry she's not so stupid as to sacrifice herself to cover them all. Rose takes a five foot step back, gun still trained on the officers and just trying to provide Des a bit of cover as she climbs into the backseat.

[Her indignation is met with confusion, but it doesn't matter now. Pigs are flying (which isn't a thought he has lightly), if Kat is willing to relinquish her hold on the driver's seat (which was the whole point of feeling like he and Rose NEEDED to be on point to make sure all went well), and Des drops the ambulance door he's been holding against the police car (have fun with that, boys) and runs towards the driver's side.]

For a hot minute, I thought you were gonna hold out on me.

[Meanwhile, Elena has hopefully reached this car, which has her...dumping Sarandis' body near the back bumper (she's not being gentle, not sorry) so that she can move to the driver's side, and casually break into this car so she can pop the trunk (nat 20 bitches aw yes, 37 disable device total).

Over the comms:]

I'm stealing a car in an alleyway near the direction I escaped. [Insert street name here.] I don't need anyone seeing me.

[ There are a lot of people crammed into this backseat but Buffy is just rolling with it and making room for Vi to get around her as she sees fit because tbh there's only room for one gun out a single cop car window and Vi is a better shot. ] That's Sarandis, clear and alive, right? Mission accomplished.

[ As if that makes up for the fuck-ups that led them there ... ]

[ Steve looks a little perplexed when his door whips open and Astrid climbs into his lap like an overactive ginger puppy holding a bone-saw. He looks behind him into the backseat for a moment. ] There wasn't any--[ He doesn't finish his though. He just nods. ]--okay. Hold on tight. [ He pulls his door shut again and nods. He's not even going to respond to Archer because he's basically Tony with an even bigger personality disorder. It doesn't ever help the situation. ]

[ but vi is going to take buffy's gun from her and lean out the window in much the same manner as buffy did earlier to aim both the excalibur and decker's gun at the oncoming police cars. [ kat just basically climbs over the mid-console to the back seat, ungracefully (dex 6), all but kicking steve and astrid over there in the passenger seat as she does so. the front police cars of the pack spin out behind them, making it impossible for the officer's to aim properly at their own tires. in the far distance, a helicopter appears behind them as well, as sirens continue to wail. ]

Well, I thought the ceremony could have been a little longer, but it wasn't the worst wedding I've ever been to.

[Felicity snorts at Archer's commentary as the sirens start to catch up with them, mostly doing her best to stay out of everyone's way.]

At least the bride looked lovely.

Hang on. [As soon as everyone's inside, Des guns that bitch in an attempt to move away from the approaching cars, and... Well, Kat definitely made a choice decision letting him drive, because he's definitely better at it (drive 30).

Unfortunately, he has to actively look for a way to escape so be prepared for some sharp overcorrecting or whatever next round when he finds it (navigate 18). It's fine.]

[I'm not sure how much of this she can do in a round, but once she has the trunk popped, she'll haul Sarandis' unconscious body inside (str 8 action point says nat 20 again wtf), before she slams the trunk closed, slides back into the car with her wings tucked against her back as much as possible, and gets started on hot-wiring this son of a bitch (disable device....another nat 20 WTF RNG WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS IS JUST SILLY NOW).]

You should probably know, Grammy's are par for the course when you're around us. [ Buffy is here for color commentary alone basically since she's letting Vi work out her window. She'll keep an eye out for better routes for Des tho (spot 33). ]

I knew I saved this for a reason. [ kat leans out the window and casts a fireball centered on the helicopter - and it erupts into flames. des' check is enough to find them the narrowest space to drive through and burst out onto the road... and then weave his way around to lose their tail entirely.
